Looks good although I am concerned by the lack of in car camera as I use that now on Forza 3 and did for a while on the F1 2010 game. Are we still no closer to an official release?Garfield360UK
I personally drive using the driver's point of view.
Polyphony said before Christmas.
I want to think Sony wants to do their damnist to get the game out before Xmas, so they can capitalize in on the holiday sales. We'll have to wait and see.
I'm surprised nothing offically has been said about GT5, since video started leaking out 3 days ago of people who have the game and playing it.
I've found a video which shows the GT5 game starting up and loading with the intro etc.
I played it and the intro was about to start then I went "WTF am I doing???"
Then turned it off, after waiting 6 years, I didn't want to spoil it for myself.
OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE - 30TH NOVEMBER....(sort of)
The elusive Gran Turismo 5 appears to finally have been given its official launch date as an official Sony website states the game will arrive on November 30th.
SonyS.tyle.com, a US based online store for all things Sony has made Gran Turismo 5 available for pre-order for stateside gamers with the game to be made available "on or about 11/30/2010".

Yeah, thats cool but I still feel there should be a generic interior for the cars not fully designed on the inside. It disapoints me as it surely would not be that hard to put a generic Honda, Ford, Hyundia etc interior in the none premium cars.
It will be interesting to see if this game gets announced soon. I am hazarding a guess if it doesnt get announced by the end of this month it wont be out this year. But that said this is Sony and they have a tendancy there of not planning things ahead. I would like to buy this game potentially but it needs to be something very special to get me playing games on the PS3 in honesty.

Via Twitter, GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirms that GT5's release date is "about to be announced" (translation via Karooo in our forums). This matches up perfectly with private information that I was provided with earlier this week, and would make sense given Sony's already set to ramp-up marketing efforts next week.  Expect more updates within the next 24 hours…

As seen on Polyphony Digital's Japanese website, here is the complete and official car list for Gran Turismo 5. "S" denotes a "Standard Model" car, "P" denotes a "Premium Model".
Honda CRZ you say? Sold.Garfield360UK
Looks like you've been converted Garfield360UK!
Leave Forza (and Redders) and join the dark side where anything is possible...
So. Many. Skylines. Overall great list :DSchumiF1
There's always been a lot of Japanese cars in Gran Turismo.
I don't think I will be converted to PS3 with this game :P
I enjoy the Xbox 360 as my primary console of choice but I would like to see titles other than Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid pull me into the system. Its not a bad machine its just where the people who I game with are on so its choice of gaming with friends I know or a system where I dont really know anybody to game with.

Of course, it is a Japanese game made/created by a Japanese car nut. But there are freakin around 50 Skylines!
What kind of games you into Garfield? Cause the PS3 has quite the variety.

The PS3 has everything the XBOX has, and more!
There are some great titles only exlcusive to the PS3.

Not that that's a bad thing :D

Haha I think we will have to agree to disagree on that one then. Sure it has some great exclusives but so does the Xbox 360 and as I say I have a friends list on the Xbox 360 where as the Playstation 3 I dont really have any on there and the user interface is a tad more clunky on there.

I found the XBOX interface to be more confusing...
But I don't really own an XBOX, just use it at my friends house very occasionally.
I bought my PS3 just for Gran Turismo 5...
And why do you need friends to play a game anyways?
Online co-operative play is far more enjoyable for me personally when playing with friends. I like the ability to talk tactics and laugh and joke with friends as we get hammered on Call of Duty or playing on Horde mode on Gears of War. Same with Redders on Formula One, I feel we can have a laugh, talk about real F1 etc where as on Playstation that rarely, if ever, seems to happen.Garfield360UK
I personally prefer offline play much more than online play.
Before any of you "Down Under" line up at your local game stores on November 24th, take note: Gran Turismo 5 won't actually be released in Australia or New Zealand until November 25th, according to each country's respective PlayStation websites. Of course, taking time zones into consideration, we'll all be getting our hands on the game at roughly the same time -- just be glad this rumor was wrong! Â Thanks to all who sent this in (…and yes, I'm delighted to have the opportunity to post this video again)!

As observed by PlayStation Life**** Gran Turismo 5 suddenly became very popular after the game's official release date announcement last Friday. Within 24 hours, the standard version of the game topped Amazon.com's video game "Movers & Shakers" list with a 1,300% increase in sales rank. The more expensive GT5 Collector's Edition came second on the list, with an 823% increase, followed by the 160GB PlayStation 3 console with a 236% increase. Impressive numbers, to say the least!
With "Black Friday" and the busiest holiday shopping weekend of the year just days after GT5's release, demand for the game should be very high. You can nab a $10 video games credit on Amazon if you pre-order with them – or, if you don't trust your local delivery man – you can also take advantage of GameStop's online pre-order with in-store pickup (you can also pre-order online at Best Buy and pick up your copy of the game when doors open on the 24th).

Lmao up 1300%, I don't think I've ever seen 1300 with a % sign after it.SchumiF1
lmFao yeah me neither! About this whole 360/PS3 thing, I love MGS to bits so I got a PS3 (Also to go with my PSP). In hindsight, I'm glad I did, because now I have an Xbox as well and I don't know if it was worth trading in a PS2 and 100+ PS2 games for it (kept my rare copy of MGS3: Subsistence though, just in case!). Although, Forza is amazing and does not deserve backlash, IMO, but GT5 will beat it. Hopefully.
It really does have to but can it get a 10 out of 10 from this site? I would be happy if it gets a 9.0 but having not played it I have no idea but the expectation is perhaps too high from some people as they will expect perfection and can any game deliever that. I mean at least with a game like Duke Nukem people will probably just accpet it as it is due to how many times it has been delayed and how many platforms its been changed to go onto to fail to turn up.
There have been at least 2 good Forza games out since GT4 came out so GT5 will have to be something special to show why it has been delayed so much. That said it should be a fantastic game if it is like the past games and can really give Forza a push which is only a good thing to me, compeition improves the market, one dominate force only means loss of inovation.
GT5 has a boat load of hype coming with it so it's going to be reviewed under quite the microscope.
But with the way review sites are today, reviews can be incredibly off. And unfortunately $$$ has a lot to do with skewing reviews. Remember the Kane and Lynch debacle from a few years back. Glitchspot had quite a bit of money given to them to sponsor it on here. It was literally everywhere on the site lol. The game gets an average review and the reviewer was "let go". And they re-reviewed the game with a higher score. -_-
I'll be getting the game regardless, but when in doubt over a game I'll usually look at multiple reviews and user reviews from all around the web, before I draw a conclusion if I'm uncertain about if I should buy a game.

Whats two days between friends?
Wait two days or two months? Im pretty sure thats the same thing to the developers of this game :P
Nah it makes sense really as Friday is usually when games come out so to push it back to make sure stock is in place and not rushed out seems reasonable. Unless this is a "we found a bug in the game, quick fix it then press a new batch of games again" which would be worrying.
