Here is a new trailer showing off some photo mode locations, as well as some sweet racing towards the end. According to Amar from GAF/GT Planetwe will be able to do a bit of customizing when it comes to what our drivers are wearing:

Screen above says we'll be able tochange the clothes(remember Tourist Trophy? Now we see the guy walking around in civil clothes in the new trailer and if you remember on of the first screens form Nurburgring, there was a guy driving an SLR in civil clothes with sunglasses on).

Here is the translation:
"First, select a clothing styIe worn by the driver(A-SPEC DRIVER)

Sceen above is apparently a real GUI screen for the very beggining of the game - 20,000 credits as a pile for start.

Great if true.

GTPlanet has screens and specs for Red Bull's X1 concept car. It sounds like the most badassed car in the game by a long shot.

Here is a new video on Top Gear's Test Track. It shows the headtracking feature at work. I can't wait to play with that.

I know that initially they'd said your money and cars would carry over from Prologue. I hope that is still true. I'd love to start with that Mine's R-34.

GTPlanet has a bunch of new details from the latest PSM3:

• Mechanical damage and failure will include things such as broken gearboxes, brake failures, and stalled engines.
• Both premium and standard model cars will include fully operational reverse lights, horns, and willaccumulate dirt and grimewhichmust be washed off by these guys.
• More features are re-confirmed, such as imprecise weather forecasts, point-to-point timed rally stages, time-of-day synchronization between virtual circuits and their real-world locations, and official NASCAR rules and regulations

• Heavy snow accumulation will continue to make the track more slippery, and "ruts" will be carved into the snow as you drive to make conditions even more challenging.
• You'll be able to create and define your own special events within the game, presumably giving you complete control over all race variables and competitors.
• In B-Spec mode, you'll simultaneously manage the racing careers of up to six different drivers. You will have to push them, but take it too far and their morale and performance will suffer. For 24-hour endurance events, you will choose four of your drivers to compete together on your race team.
• You will be able to trade cars with your friends – including those which you have tweaked and tuned for maximum performance.

Trading cars sounds pretty fun, and I can't wait to see those snow races. They looked gorgeous in the weather trailer.

I really hope I can turn that red flashing "be in this gear for this corner" thing. I hated that in GT4. It made racing too easy. I also hope the triggers will be fine tuned for balanced accel/decel. I couldn't use the face buttons at all with the kiosk demo and think its an incredibly outdated input mechanic. Also, I hope there is a racing wheel that comes with a full clutch and gated shifter, and each car is only allowed access to the transmissions they actually have (using a manual w/clutch on an auto-only car in FM3 is kind of detracting from the experience). If not, then I see no need in buying a wheel at all. There is no such thing as a "real driving simulator" without one.

The one I did was a two lap race on Midfield, and you got a really expensive GT-R34 race car as a prize at the end. It was either worth $200,000 or $250,000.rragnaar

First up, word from"distribution sources"indicate more than half a million copies ofGran Turismo 5are headed to France. More specifically, there will be 400,000 standard copies, 100,000 Collector's Editions, and 5,000 Signature Editions available in the country. (Amazon.fr is still taking SE reservations, so hop on that if you're interested.)

Also,GT5'sbig Madrid launch partyhas a new date ofNovember 24th/25th. As you may recall, the launch party wasfirst scheduledfor October 26th/27th. Considering the party was to be held exactly one week before the game's intended worldwide launch, a release during the week of November 29th – December 3rd is beginning to look extremely likely. yeah there were reports right after it was delayed that put the launch date at November 30th, so definitely seems legit.

i dont really mind this delay considering i wouldve likely skipped the awesome Ghost of Sparta had GT5 came out the same week. Also Assassin's Creed is coming out in a couple of weeks, so i will most likely be busy with that for at least a couple more weeks till GT5 comes out.

Is it me, or is this the cleverest (and cheapest) marketing campaign ever? All you see on the blogs, news sites, message boards etc is GT5 speculation about the release date.

Gamestop's newest Turismo Tuesday update is out. This one is NASCAR focused.
