Read the other thread i just posted. They did exactly that. Putting Kinect in every console was always going to increase the costs. They chose Kinect over high end graphics. 

Good because giving me .6 extra TFLOPs isn't going to give me anything worth the value of what that Kinect and its integration will. Smart move on that end.

Ok, I have to call you out on this. We're from the same region and this is just impossible. Right now Steam is offering Dead Space for 2,49 euros and Dead Space 2 for 7,49 euros.

If you can find me a place that's offering console versions of these games for anywhere near that price, well give me links because I'll definitely be buying some console games there myself.

Not all the time but most of the time i am buying (used though) games that are under steam sales. I get $10 games all the time through gamefly sales. Clearances. Best Buy coupons. Yeah you may have to search for it but you can get physical games dirt cheap.

Friends of mine have bought Dead Space for £0,98 last year on GAME.co.uk. I've bought a mountain of games for the same price in the same sale. Dead Space 2 i got for 19euro a couple months after release and I've often seen it for 10 bucks.

Zavvi sells new games and the average price for a 6 months old game is 15-18euro

There is such an overwhelming backlash from the community.  Nearly everything I've read from here and GAF is negative.  I have to think that some of these policies will change between now and the launch.  Excuse me, I mean their PR people will backpeddle and try to convince us that these policies were never in place to begin with.

What makes you think they care? There was a huge backlash MONTHS leading upto today's reveal. They fired a guy for defending them and still turned around and implemented it. They havent listened to the core gamers in THREE years. We have been shitting on them since E3 2010 when Kinect was first revealed. They do not care.

this is ridiculous. this doesnt just block used games, it blocks new games, it blocks all games. so you buy a new game but it will only register as new one time, from then on your game being played on a different console or gamertag your new game is now registered a used. this means that all games new or used will be labled as used .imagine not being able to play our retro games because theyre not playable on our retro consoles anymore. with this implemented we wont be able to play the games we own in the future. thats insane .
