You should have known that MH is built around online. It was discussed before it even came out that there isn't much of a story, and you should go online to get the full experience. I don't think there would be free downloadables, just new quest (event quests, available only in online). No new monsters (probably just giant and tiny versions of existing ones. I've seen a giant Deviljho in a video, it was an even quest in Japan). And probably the only new items would be the event items already revealed.

You should try online, solo. See if you still get bored

I feel you. I need.... 7 I think? And I only managed to get get 3 ever since I got to high rank. That's.... more than 100 hours and I only got 3! And I've hunted High Rank Qurupeco more than 50 times, and Barioth over 20 times. Maybe I should go for 100? Same with Lagia Sapphire. I need 2 ... or actually more if I decide to do the armor. And Uragaan Ruby. Those are a pain to get. And other people seem to be getting them.

And I'm still waiting for the Jhen Mohran event again. It seems High Rank Jhen Mohran is only available through that.

Finally got that final Lantern + and upgraded my Hammer to Alluring Lotus :D. I've also upgraded all my Rathian armor up to + status. Now I just need to get a group together for taking on both Rathian and Rathalos so I can get to HR 40 :P.

And I find the lance the easiest to fight Gobul with. Or atleast it was easy for me :P. I usually just stick with the Hammer, but if i'm not good at dodging certain attacks then I will go with the lance for some of the defensive power. And Gobul has such a wide range since hes so fat I can't dodge him that well :P.

100 HOURS?!?! T_T I'll just give up on the Soulbreaker. rofl really being able to mug other players would have made this much more enjoyable. xD eh, is there any other good axes I can get without item headaches?dtno132

I think it is. Either over or almost. I'm 200 hours in the game, HR 60. So I just divided it? LOL That's not even how it works, but roughly 100 hours yes. I've managed to upgrade one Soulbreaker branch (the one that needed 4 Wyvern Stones, (P) I think). Now aiming for the other branch, needs 3. But to put you down again, from HR31-60, I only got 4!?

But, as compensation, in those 100 hours, I didn't really hunt for it. Unlike others who did Qurupeco, Barioth and Agnaktor x times in a row. Even got a Deviljho Gem *before* I got a Wyvern Stone (second one actually, but comparing the number of times I hunted them. 5 Deviljhos, and those 3, 100 when combined). And Rathian/los Rubies still elude me. I didn't really grind for it, I just let it happen. It's tiring doing one monster x times in a row.

Amber Hoarfrost. Ice, Barioth parts. First endgame axe I got. Probably because I also did the Barioth armor. But it doesn't need anything fancy. Just claws+, carapaces and freezer sacs.

Megavolt Axe (P) and (G). Already got those also. Thunderstrike (G), almost, although it needs 5 Lagiacrus Plates, plates are easier in high rank. Even got 2 in one quest. What I really want is Thunderstrike (P) since IMO it's the better endgame Thunder axe. But it needs Lagia Sapphires, so another headache.

Bastion Blitz (P) is also easy, but I didn't bother fighting Barroth that much in high rank.

If you want we can hunt it together maybe?

Oh and BTW, Axe is ok for Gobul....... That's because I use Axes only. Lagiacrus and Ludroth are even harder underwater when using an Axe. But cake on land.

I've found 3 Wyvern stones, 2 Rathian Rubys, and3 Rathian Plates without even looking for them. But that darn Deep Dragongem still eludes me :x. Too bad Ceadus is single player only. It would go by so much faster online. :(

I needed 2 rathion medulas for the rathion+ helm to complete the set and as soon as I didn't look and hope for one I got my first one...... the game can sense what your looking for and holds it back from you, midwhile giving an abundance to everyone else in your party.

random question: anyone else noticed the bizarre, pointless censors in the game? mean, "after"? really? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CENSORING THE WORD "AFTER", GAME?!?!?BrunoBRS

BTW does anyone here use Wii Speak. I've been playing the game since day one and have yet to meet a single person that does. Had to give up and steal my keyboard to communicate with people.

Yeah totally agree. It was weird so uh my Wii is in the garage.. Headset would have worked so much better too. The quality sucks..

Well, it's really ok for people to go inside a "solo play" city. There are four slots for quests anyway, so you can each make a quest and all go solo. Just make a quest and limit the population to 1, so that they can't join.

It's a different story if they start asking if they can join you, or suddenly if they demand you to join their quest.

Well I've been working on making all the lower armor sets I can make. I want to have a bunch of different armor sets so I can prepare properly for certain quests. Now I just need alot of freaking Adv Armorgems :P.

lol I speak of offline glories. So I am pretty well prepared for online, the only thing holding me back is my HR. Massive Gobul glitch online, killed it and the quest didn't end, we just stayed until ran out and it called it a fail. We had killed and carved the Gobul like 15 minutes before the quest ended. I will have to check that because I never seen a quest where sidequest were a requirement. They wouldn't be sidequest if they were, especially with only 25 minutes. Sepewrath

Must be it. Event quests are usually special. High Rank Jhen Mohran. That 15min gathering quest. And I think this one too. And I have a new record. Haven't played since..... I dunno, maybe 2 or 3 days?greenarcher02

I have no classes now, so I'm trying to use all my time on playing. Vacation. I know, it's still Spring there but March-June is our "summer" vacation. June is when classes start, and they rainy season starts.

But I know when classes start, I won't be able to play weekdays, and I know there would be some weekends that I won't be able to play. It could go on for 2 months like last school year, or more, since this time we'll be doing our thesis. So before it starts, I have to finish the games I want to finish, and in the case of Monster Hunter, be less addicted to it.

Finally got my 4* urgent quest done awhile ago. Finally found a group of players that knew what they were doing.

and the loot I recieved at the end of the hunt contained a Rathian Ruby and a Rathian Plate. Why do I keep getting this stuff I don't need lol :P.

I need to get my last week of playing in, because I am going into Mario mode in a few days. Hell I'm already there, I just beat SMW for the 70 zillionth time. So i will try and get some hunts going with you people before then. Sepewrath
