meh, i'll tip my hat to KG. he is a beast. but, kobe is kobe. i don't even think KG could stop him, with the steam he's been picking up in these series closers. both him and the lakers are hungry this season, and the celtics played like some satisfied-one-ring bums. they didn't want it as bad, there was no motivation. so even with KG, I doubt they could have made it to the finals, let alone beat us in them.

if they had kg, the would have destroyed the magic and the cavs, now im not going to saythey would have beat the lakers this year, but to say they werent hungry is ridiculous, they had brian scalabrine coming off the bench as their #1 pf/sf backup. If anything they played with more heart this season. No KG, no leon powe, no james posey, no pj brown and no sam cassell, those guys all saw a lot of minutes last season, and this season they were all gone/out. and all we had to replace them was starbury. if the c's had had enough big men for kg to guard kobe, im pretty sure he would dominate him on defense.[QUOTE="elpooz"][QUOTE="TheBigTicket21"][QUOTE="elpooz"]it's easy being a lakers fan when the real best team in the nba's best player is out. am i right?Best. stopping him as in bringing in enough points/rebounds to win against him and the lakers. who said anything about guarding genius?
tbt: hungry, returning champs dont almost lose to the bulls...

the bulls were a #4 seed, if they had played the same pace since they got brad miller and john salmons. Are you totally ignoring the fact that we lost kg too, took the magic longer than the cavs did.[QUOTE="elpooz"][QUOTE="Magna_Man109"][QUOTE="elpooz"][QUOTE="TheBigTicket21"][QUOTE="elpooz"]it's easy being a lakers fan when the real best team in the nba's best player is out. am i right?Best. Pierce, Rondo and Davis are still VERY good players who should have been able to hold that team down. Plus, you guys have a good bench. Stop falling back on that "but but we didn't have KG!" excuse homie :P

Quiz: what is the number of finals appearances the lakers had between the time without shaq and gasol?well they say Lakers dont match up well with Magic and i hope their right............i freaking hate the lackers and all their players especially kobeRyder004i actually think the lakers match up really well here, hedo and rashard play way too well for their size, and that hurts teams
go magic!
alston = fischer
lee < kobe
turkoglu ? odom
lewis = gasol
howard > bynum
it's really going to come down to who plays better at SF, turk vs. odomgo magic!
TheBigTicket21
The only matchup that matters is who can stop the Polish Hammer...
and the answer is no one

I lol'd at that for some reason.
anyway, this will be a good match-up. I think this will go to 7...

Let's go Lakers! Bring it back to LA! Seven long ****ing years I've waited since the last championship, I don't want to wait anymore.

Magic fans have been waiting like 14 since they even appeared in the finals. :?
It's different when you're a Lakers fan... You almost expect the team to compete for the conference title every year(As I do). IDK.
Â
Nothing feels better than winning a title. It's been a while since we've got it done. I don't care how many titles we win, it never gets old.
Man, there's nothing worse than seeing Lakers fans rejoice :( It's such a sting to the heart for a Kings fan...I'd rather watch Philly fans rejoice than Lakers fans :(LeBron:lol:

lol yea the other cavs were giving credit to the magic and Le***** stormed off the court with tears in his eyes(not really but would have been hilarious)Â
should be a good series between the Lakers and Magic, man I didn't get to see the game today but I heard the people on espn talking about Lebron storming off the court, what a punk

I can't help but think of how much Lebron reminds me of Penny after watching this. Except Lebron's got about 40 lbs on him lol and can jump higher, and Penny was quicker and a little better passer.

Lil' Wayne - Kobe Bryant

not gonna lie... that was great. Weezy still drops hot verses sometimes, but I just really hate the songs he does where his verse is basically all similes and metaphors. For example, his verse on LB's "Breakin' My Heart". It can be funny sometimes but ehhh I don't like hearing more than a few in one verse.
I love the way the Lakers played in the first half. Defensively, offensively, awesome.

Keep it up LA!

From what I can remember of that song, I actually liked his verse moreso than Phonte's or Pooh's. When I tried to replay Get Back, I'd end up just listening to that song for the Wayne verse :?"like sade, we got the sweetest taboo" [c] Weezy
Also, I'm not fretting seeing the Lakers up. Magic always play their best ball in the 4th quarter
this is too dam easy for Kobe, he's just toying with them right now andyboiiiIt's not even fair...Pietrus is really playing good defense on him, he's just making the shots. If the Magic can slow him down just a little bit this game should get closer.
^ I was saying in another forum, this is one of the reasons the Magic needed a healthy Jameer Nelson to be able to win this series. Right now he's at about 50% and that's not going to help the Magic at all because he's not penetrating to the basket which is what he did that killed the Lakers in the regular season. They're just not hitting shots at all either, Turkoglu who was a factor in the 1st quarter hasn't scored a basket since then andyboiiiyeah, nelsons looked awful all game....hes been slow, and his shots have barely graced the rim. i just turned the game off, no comeback tonight :(

Nelson was amazing right when he came in, prolly because he was playing off adrenaline. But he was meh the rest of the way.
We need to double Kobe no questions asked. Force Odom and Fish to knock down jumpers.
I also would not mind us using a lineup of Dwight/Gortat/Lewis/Hedo/Rafer just to get more size. Kobe is getting by whoever is guarding him so at least put some size on him so he can't post up so easily. And with this lineup Kobe will at least be working more on D because he would have to guard Rashard or Hedo. Courtney Lee isn't really an offensive threat so Kobe could lay off him tonight.
I'm sure the Magic are gonna come out better next game though. It was just one of those days...
lol was that Dom Kennedy with the fans outside the Staples?
Anyway great game, Kobe in best mode right now.
Most likely, he a big LA fan I believelol was that Dom Kennedy with the fans outside the Staples?
