Hypothetically, if Obama could send troops to every US citizens' home, make them look at the birth certificate at gunpoint, those people that doubt it now would probably still doubt it.lamprey263actually the fact that he would be taking such accusations that seriously I would begin to suspect he wasn't born here. I still wouldn't care as it doesn't really affect the job he is doing, but still.

Forged... not goo enough... I need blood samples, athomospheric conditions, eye witness reports, video evidence, chemical levels in the water and for Barack Obama to be white for me to belive he was not born in Kenya...

You don't have to make sense to breach privacy. His birth cirtificate has been publically displayed. The Governor and the Secretary of Health of the state he was born in have confirmed it. There are even newspapers from the time he was born confirming it.
Not that it matters at this point, but when people argue against the Birthers, all too often they are factually incorrect. Even the Pro-Obama people don't claim to have produced a "birth certificate." What has been flying around the internet is a "certificate of live birth" which, from my understanding, is a document that basically certifies that a child was born, but doesn't meet the same standards of scrutiny of an actual birth certificate.
Before people claim to have seen the actual birth certificate, I would suggest they read some of the articles written about Gov. Ambercrombie's (Hawaii) attempts to find the actual birth certificate. As of yet, he has been unable to locate it, and his is supposedly a close personal friends of the Obama's and Barack's parents. I'm not bothering to find a link, you guys/gals can read it if you like.
As for my personal opinion, I'm not really a fan of Obama's presidency so far, and I guess at times I wonder about the whole birth place thing, but it doesn't really mean anything right now. He's already in so it's not like anything would change the laws that have thus far been enacted.
I want Obama to prove he wasn't born in the US. That way it can set the precedent for AHNULD SHUHTSANAYGUH to become the President, then he can take the reigns and personally terminate Osama Bin Laden and Sadam Hussein's brain-in-a-jar.
I think it started because he spent a lot of time overseas as a youth (and the name Barrack Hussein Obama doesn't help). That and a lot of his school records remain sealed and he never released an actual birth certificate (read my previous post about the certificate of live birth). I think that Obama likes the debate about it though. Keeps a lot of anti-Obama people preoccuppied. This is just stupid. How did this whole birther thing start, anyways?

If you asked me to produce my original birth cirtificate guess what - I couldn't do it. The original was destroyed in a fire 30 years ago. And at this point neither the hospital nor the state have photocopies on the original still on file. A couple of years ago I had to get a copy of my birth certificate. What I recieved from the state of Kentucky looked much like what Obama has there, and was considered unquestional proof of my birth in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, United States of America. But it wasn't the original birth cirtificate, only a cirtificate of live birth, so I guess this means I'm not really a natural born US citizen afterall. :(

I sense that you are arguing with me because of a misunderstanding. I'm not making the claim that he wasn't born in the states. I'm just saying that people would be better equipped to handle the "birthers" if they had their facts straight, thats all. There is plenty of evidence that he was born here, but in presenting their arguements they shouldn't make the claim that the "actual" birth certificate has been published, because it hasn't been. I don't find it that surprising. There are still people who think that we never landed on the moon. People who think that 9/11 was an inside job. Doesn't really surprise me.do they think he is some sort of terrorist mastermind that has made himself U.S president or something? :?
who cares if he was born in the middle east.

It's all good, legal, and as far as the courts, the government, and everybody, except for Tea Baggers and followers of Alex Jones, are concerned proof of his birth in the United States.

The document is a "certification of birth," also known as a short-form birth certificate. The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents' hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. The Hawaii Department of Health's birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, but their short form has enough information to be acceptable to the State Department... He also confirmed that the information in the short form birth certificate is sufficient to prove citizenship for "all reasonable purposes."

In an attempt to quash persistent rumors that President Obama was not born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, Hawaii's health director reiterated Monday afternoon that she has personally seen Obama's birth certificate in the Health Department's archives:
"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen.

People couldn't fathom that a black man became President, so they concluded that he must not be an American citizen. Seriously. That's what it boils down to. Do you think a single one of these birther idiots would be crying foul if Obama was white? This is just stupid. How did this whole birther thing start, anyways?

Gotcha. I misread that. Although, I would say that there are probably a good number of "birthers" that are so primarily because Obama is a relatively liberal democrat, and would probably do so regardless of his skin color. That doesn't make crazies any less crazy, but I'm not sure if all of them are just thinking exclusively about race. But, I have been wrong before.[QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"]"It is unfortunate that some people continue to fight the Civil War," - Best quote from the article. Exactly. the evidence McCain was not born in America was and is much stronger than any evidence (none) that Obama wasn't. Yet none of these birther lunatics seem to really care about that. The birther movement is about getting a black guy out of the oval office, period. Utterly shameful, moreso that Huckabee was trying to appeal to them.[QUOTE="YellowOneKinobi"][QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"]"It is unfortunate that some people continue to fight the Civil War," - Best quote from the article. Yeah, but Bush, Clinton and Reagon didn't spend the majority of their youth overseas. I think thats the bigger issue. But again, thats my opinion and you're certainly entitled to disagree with me.
