It is natural bro. Homosexuality is an overpopulation block, same with male to female ratios. When populations are in decline there are more women than men so that they can populate more. When the area is overpopulated more men and homosexuals are produced. I'm pretty sure that I've read that in a study before, maybe not, but that's how I see it. The hate towards homosexuals is a cultural thing. Oh, and it's not an opinion it's lack of education to provide a false hypothesis.ChampionoChumps
Again as I said it depends on the criteria used by the individual. You are using a different criteria.

[QUOTE="tenaka2"]

[QUOTE="ChampionoChumps"] I know non-religious people who hate homosexuals. Care to explain that? The hatred of homosexuals is a cultural thing just like hating people with other skin colors was a cultural thing in the 50s. Your hatred towards religion completely baffles me. This in no way has to do with religion. It purely has to do what people have been taught in their culture. All people educated in genetics know that it is natural. This is purely a cultural/uneducated phenomena. ChampionoChumps

Ok, so you see not link between the hatred of homosexuality and religion? Really, are you serious?

I accept that some religious people may not accept homosexuals as natural, but I do not accept that religion will make people hate homosexuals. Especially when most religions are for peace and tolerance.

Every religion calls for intolarance, religion dictates what we should accept and what we should not, what we should do and what we should not do.

Intolarance.

That's not true. One gets out of a religion what one wants......but not all religions call for intolerance.

people hating homosexuality is like people from one religion hating another or the non-believers,

Not only that but so many generations have been brought up to hate homosexuals or disaprove of them, that the only way for this world to accept them more is to wait till those generations die out.

Yet some are based on rational thinking where religion is not. Its very foolish to let an ancient book written buy people with no knowledge of the world we live in dictate the world we live in.

No it dictates what you should and should not do. For instance, I CAN do whatever I want to do that is biologically possible, but should I?

Your a big fan of strawmen, you give nothing to debunk, you just have a generic statement which adds nothing, a strawman is only used to defunk an argument, you have given no argument.

Yup, I'm just wasting my time with someone who reverts to ridiculous accusations/strawmans about me instead of addressing on what I said.

Let me know if your going to address my statements, untill then bye.

Also, defunk? Is that slang or something? Try to debate without slang, because I have never heard of that word before.

is a strawman. I never claim that.

This is what I claim

"one man's rational can appear to another man as irrational."

Now are you going to address it, or continue with the accusation and strawman?

Stop looking down on me, because I mistake it for something else. It's rude.

Of course I see that, you just lost me on which term you were referring to. Anyways, if someone has wrong criteria then it doesn't matter since they are wrong. The Bible never says that homosexuality is unnatural, it says (in Leviticus, but those laws have been fulfilled) that it is wrong. So, by which criteria is homosexuality unnatural?

I understand that its easier to read 1 simple book and believe a preacher, Id suggest that you have a broader view and expand your knowledge, it may take some effort but at the end of it you would be glad you had.

is a strawman. I never claim that.

This is what I claim

"one man's rational can appear to another man as irrational."

Now are you going to address it, or continue with the accusation and strawman?

Stop locking down on me, because I mistake it for something else. It's rude.

I understand that its easier to read 1 simple book and believe a preacher, Id suggest that you have a broader view and expand your knowledge, it may take some effort but at the end of it you would be glad you had.

Will you stop being so difficult and just address it?

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="ChampionoChumps"] Which term, homosexuality or criteria?ChampionoChumps

The criteria....which has to be agreed upon before entering the discussion. If you and another individual are using differing criteria.....the discussion would be pointless since you'd be talking at cross purposes. Do you see that?

Of course I see that, you just lost me on which term you were referring to. Anyways, if someone has wrong criteria then it doesn't matter since they are wrong. The Bible never says that homosexuality is unnatural, it says (in Leviticus, but those laws have been fulfilled) that it is wrong. So, by which criteria is homosexuality unnatural?

Uh...you seem to be confused. I'm not arguing that topic. I was responding to someone that asked why people say that....and I said some use in reference to reproduction. My view point was expressed earlier when I said I don't care what anyone does as long as they aren't hurting others.

I think that argument is a generalisation because there are also people's moral and religious beliefs to take into account

QWERTYCommander

Just because homophobia is part of their "moral or religious beliefs" doesn't mean it's right. Hitler did what he did because of his religious beliefs. Should we take that into account too?

Hitler did not act on religious beliefs.

Oh, sorry for wasting your time then. I was under the impression that we were arguing something else  . I guess that's what I get for not reading the whole thread.

Good point here. Who is to say that the religious beleifs themselves aren't ignorant and uneducated?

The one political view that I absolutely without exception do not respect is that of the anti-gay crowd. I am usually a very understanding person and respect other's opinions, but denying civil rights to others just because they are not like you or because your religious dogma tells you to? It's just really sick.

[QUOTE="wiifan001"]It's not just a religious belief. It's a commandment of God.Teenaged

Which is a religious belief.

It doesn't matter if you believe in a God or not, because there is anyway whether you want to believe or not. And God has commandments.
