Should be careful who you threaten things like that on, karma can sometimes be very cruel. Though you may not believe in karma than meh whatever.I sure don't. He got 2 chances at being a president and failed both times. I don't excuse that kind of crap. No I don't pity him and I hope he contracts some horrible disease.

[QUOTE="Rhazakna"][QUOTE="GD-1369211121"]Bush went on more vacations than any other president in history. Why does everyone keep talking about Bush? Leave the poor man alone, we should be focussing on the most underqualified president in history that just happens to be in office right now.Yeah I'm just glad he is gone. It's much better having a president that does absolutely nothing to help his country. Also, it's great having a president that goes on vacation every 3 months. I mean he's doing such a great job.
GD-1369211121
Eh, not really, and if he's underqualified then he's a good example of an underqualified president doing a good job anyway.
In any case, Abe Lincoln was less qualified than Obama when he took office, and look how that one turned out. Not saying Obama will be the next Lincoln but he's doing a pretty decent job as is.

Doing a good job??? Your kidding right? What exactly has he done other than waste millions of dollars? He was a good President. Sure, MAYBE he might have made some mistakes. He seems to be a family man, a nice guy. And yet psycho lefties kept trying to destroy him, calling him all sorts of vlie crap. He was just doing his job. I'd like to see one of those hippy freaks run the country for a day. We'd probably be at record unemployment or something.
Anyone have any ideas?MaxPred2010
he made big mistakes that led to a recession and a general animosity towards the US from the rest of the world.
Also as much as I appreciate those things, they do not qualify him to run a country.

Whenever people bash Obama they usually blame him for problems that Bush is responsible for. You can't blame a man for arson when he walks into a burning house.
It doesn't matter who created the problem. It's Obamas job to fix it, he is the president now. So he needs to get off his ass and actually do something to fix those problems. If your house was burning would you call 911 or run away like a little girl? Well Obama is running and I don't think he is going to stop anytime soon.Well I think we should stick you in the White House for less than 2 years and we'll see how well you do in cleaning up 8 years of screw-ups. People are so unrealistic.

He wasn't bad because of his personality (family guy, nice guy), he was a terrible president because of his actions.
Good president? Oh dear. I for one was miserable during those 8 years.

He said good, not spectacular. The only thing they ever had on him was that he wasfun to make fun of because he isa bit a squirrelee, but sois his father.
The fact is that most presidents are mercs. They are just businessmen looking to expand their own business ventures.
I don't feel bad for anyone else who takes a job they're not qualified for, performs poorly, and is subsequently ridiculed.. So no, no I don't.UCF_Knight

History has shown a lack of resources, be it agricultural, political, or even militarial (yes I just made that word up..) has not always hampered success. In this case there was no success, or even much maintaining.. in general everything was pretty much worse when Bush left office. Has it gotten much better since Obama has taken office? No, it hasn't.

We're not talking about inventing paper clips or building ahut.
You always miss the point. You seem to think I'm retarded and don't know that technology was designed and built by other men. You feel there'sa need to inform me.
You would probably drive Einstein insane. It's just a simple analogy so if I can't get my point across in the simplest terms possible I don't know what else to do except run a session, but it's not worth my time.
It doesn't matter what you WANT to do IF you can't resource whatyou need to make it possible. So... you work with what you have available.

MagnumPII guess I was meant to skim over the rest of everything and just jump to this.. Some of his main criticisms, ie. starting a war for blatantly wrong reasons, was not due to a lack of resources. We could always sacrifice a day to designing a t-chart for what was his fault and what wasn't, unfortunately I already made plans today.

Given the alternative presidential candidates at the time (Gore & Kerry), I not sure they are any better than him. But his response to the Katrina just made me lost my faith in him and any notion that he was a good president

Handled it better than Obama the BP spill...
Just saying.
Why are you comparing to two? Obama does not control BP, and he doesn't control the Deepwater Horizon. Hell, when he asked BP to make reparations to Americans affected, Republicans began attacking it as a shakedown. Bush controlled FEMA, which failed to quickly mobilise, and the Federal Government was responsible for the US Corps of Engineers, the organisation whose shoddy levees caused the flooding of New Orleans. Their responsibilities are not even close to parallel.By any objective standard, no he wasn't. Most Americans agree with that too.He was a good President.MaxPred2010
Just because he seems like a "nice guy" and a family man (which TBH, is something you can say for most Presidents) is not something that qualifies him to run the USA.

In fairness only one Republican did (that I recall anyway), and he was criticised by the rest of his own party for it.

The thing is, before Joe Barton made his politically explosive comment (which happened on June 17):
The Republican Study Committee, a caucaus which has 114 Republican Congress members, endorsed the talking point Obama was extorting BP, calling it "Chicago ****shakedown politics", the day before Barton made his comments.
Suddenly, everyone found Barton's comments disagreable. Michelle Bachman in particular made an epic backflip.

Bush deserved the criticism he got. Good intentions only mean so much. He repeatedly screwed things up which is unforgivable.
[QUOTE="p2250"]He has not out "terrorists" in their place. Nothing has stopped. If anything he started a stupid war, based on lies. ... But weren't those lies fed to him by the government or whatever. He put Saddam and Muslim terrorists in their place, for that he should be thanked.

Obama is pretty much Bush the third.
almost every one of the policies that Obama is chasing were started by Bush.
who started the bail outs and who decided not to enforce the boarders in the first place...who started the no child left behind that is being continued and screws up our school system and teaches everything except how to read and right and do math or how to succeed in the real world?
Bush and they were all expanded by Obama.
Bush was given negative press for doing the same things for which the New York Times considers Obama a hero.
while Iraq is Bush's war Afghanistan is Obama's
Bush screwed up Iraq and Obama is messiing up big time in Afghanistan because he has even less experience in milatary matters than he does in any other part of being a leader.
So he is similar to Bush once more who at least was a governor and ran a baseball team so he has a some practical experience ... for all the good it did.
[QUOTE="p2250"]
The only people that didn't like Bush were people that supported Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida.
Comments like these are what made me hate Bush.
The genocide, crimes against humanity and terrorism carried out by Muslims made me hate Islam. Not to mention 9/11, never forgive, never forget.while Iraq is Bush's war Afghanistan is Obama'sIn what sense is Afghanistan Obama's war? It was begun when he wasn't even a Senator yet, for goodness sake; he didn't even have the opportunity to vote for it. It was fought for eight years without him until he became Commander in Chief. Even things he's done during have been continuations of Bush policy (ie the surge) and the continuance of support for Kharzai.Bush screwed up Iraq and Obama is messiing up big time in Afghanistan because he has even less experience in milatary matters than he does in any other part of being a leader.iowastate
