Atheists displace nativity scenes in California

Wow.:| A tradition for California for 60 years has been 14 stands displaying the birth of baby Jesus, and now some a-hole atheist group bought out all but two to convince people how much of a "myth" it is. Well they paid for them, they can do whatever they want with those spaces. Doesn't matter why they bought them

I do agree with the church spokesman that it would make sense to limit rental of that property to city residents. I mean, if some citizens from a nearby city rented it and put up signs saying "San Diego Sucks Santorum" or something, the city would be doing what they could to remove it.

Whatever. I don't live there so my interest is fading...fading...gone.

It always amazes me that Christians in this country cry about percieved oppression when the founder of their religion told that they would be oppressed for their faith, and early Christians were absolutely brutalized. You guys haven't seen oppression. You live in a society were 85% of the people share your beliefs.

I don't understand the problem. The churches have bought the spaces for 60 years and now someone else did, who cares? Would this be a big deal if this wasn't a religious topic? Probably not.

Things change and traditions end, accept it.
