The question that still hasn't been answered for me has nothing to do with existence of a god, but why someone would want to follow a god in the first place? Why is a god even a good thing? Why is the Bible or any holy book even a good thing? Nicksonman

It's more about the things that the bible teaches. Don't tell me that you don't get annoyed at ebayers who cheat you out of money or a partner who sleeps around behind his/her other half's back. You have the bible to thanks for that and it's a good thing.

In addition, I imagine that God would serve as some kind of inner voice, which we all have.
