Attention all yoctograms: Why do you post in OT?

I would like to know, why on gaming forums would you post on the not-game board?

Because even though talk may be cheap, some old horses can always hear their owner approach, and the call of OT as it once was makes me long for it. I miss the days when people were themselves, rather than trying to conform to the crowd with fads from other sites or trying to do what everyone else on here does just because they think that person's funny. OT doesn't need to prepare to be iterated, it already is. I've made some friends here though, so there are some people who know how to make a board good. So here's my follow-up. How would you make OT better and more individualistic?

Personally, if I had to pick one thing, I would make sure that everyone knew that the "anonymous" mentality is just gonna land you in hot water. You get a username and profile for a reason, so be you. This is GS OT, so come here because you want to be here, not to make this a board full of zetta sons of digits. :o

What are you trying to say exactly? Are you calling me out?!

This place keeps me sane when I'm doing vast amount of homework and typing long papers.

But by this logic, I must be insane...

I would make more people post like good ol' Pi-Face.

It alleviates my boredom. I don't know much about video games anyway, so OT is a nice outlet sometimes.

The lack of any individuality is depressing. More so since I was here when this forum was first established. This anonymous approach to posting feels so lifeless and meh. Back before 'The Fall' a single OT regular packed more character than majority of the current regulars of OT. I don't mean to sound like I am trying to insult anyone here. Everyone here seems like good people. But no one honestly sticks out. All the posting styles and antics around here are all the same. I see all these names, but nothing I can use to identify them with. Everyone posts all the same. Most of the fads here are just ripped from elsewhere. I don't know what triggered all this anonymous approach to this forum, but it's all jibber without the jabber.N3MO

There is plenty of 'Funny' to be created here. The problem is that all this 'Funny' you claim is the only 'Funny' around is ripped from places like **** The ToS is nothing new. It's been here before the OT was created. And the OT use to be packed with 'Funny'. The difference now from then is that everyone now doesn't do their own thing and thus takes it from some one else and abuses it until it becomes a problem. Back then the community constantly tried to pump more 'Funny' and character into the community. This anonymous approach to the forum is killing the 'Funny'.

I post in OT to make friends, maybe crack a joke. I actually do way more reading than posting (sept 1/2 the threads are all repeats :?).

I don't know about hot water, but certainly the anonymous route provides little reward.
