Even better news: Law passed to ban picketing at Tuscon funerals Well, it's about freaking time! :)angeldeb82
Good, but unfortunately, laws can't be stricter to completely stop them.

Wow it amazing that she survive.
Same. Apparently my medical knowledge isn't exactly the best, as I thought it was not possible to survive a bullet right through the brain.

It depends, 9mm isn't that big of a round, but a shot to the head is still very serious. Whatsaved her was that intern who provided first aid to the Congresswoman after she was shot. He was one of the heroes of that day.

Worse has happened. If I recall, nearly a century back, a railroad worker had a long pipe blown clear through his head, and survived. The doctor was able to stick his entire hand through the top part of his head, his other hand through his jaw, and feel his fingertips. The man was still able to walk, talk, eat etc. afterwards.*EDIT* My estimates regarding the time of the incident's occurrence were way off, but I was right about what happened. Ladies and gents, Mr. Phineas Gage.

There is always a possibility.... IN medical marvels there is a guy who survived getting stabbed in their forehead by a combat knife.. It was down to the hilt lodged into his brain down the middle.. He survived with no brain damage (well it didn't effect him) but yeah..
