And does he support a single-payer system? No. Does he favor diplomacy over military action? I think any reasonable person would agree that a diplomatic solution to a foreign policy issue is ideal, but Obama has made it clear that he is not shy about using military force to achieve international objectives (e.g. his position on Pakistan). Stem cell research is something that is supported by both the left and the right. Obama is not a supporter of same-sex marriage. According to that Wikipedia page he's not that liberal - in fact that article reveals that he is quite moderate. If you look at the "international political spectrum" so to speak, Obama wouldn't even be considered a moderate, he resembles a conservative, of all things.
