So do transexuals have the right to go out with a straight person, or getting with a straight person in a club without telling them?

I think they are the opposite sex now and should be treated as equals, so yeah they don't have to reveal it to anyone.

Its clearly a big part of their past, so yes, it should be brought up. It won't be a secret for long anyway.

I...really don't see why this was necessary. Any person has the right to reveal as much information about themselves as they want, gender, sexuality and religion not withstanding..

Thats like a really manly woman being arrested for being in a relationship with a gay dude without telling him.... It shouldn't be a crime, Just really heavily frowned upon.

I don't know whether I'd bring rights into the equation. It's perfectly understandable that a guy would feel angry and deceived in that kind of situation and just as obvious that the "girl" is going to get upset at the guy's reaction. Neither's wrong or right.

I think people who say transgendered people should just run up and tell every potential date about their past is either foolish or naive or both.

I think it's best they tell someone before things get intimate, it might not be easy or even fun to do but it'll be less fun if the other person finds out after a long time together and then potentially leaves.

Yeah thats just straight evil. I have nothing against transexuals but tricking people like that is a one way ticket to you know where. Ive heard horror stories of people who were married to transexuals for years without knowing and when they finally did find out all hell broke loose. I feel like if your a transexual and you have no prolems with what you are then you shouldn't be afraid to tell people. Building relationships off lies is not only a good way to ruin your life but that of others as well.

But technically they're a woman or a man now, so they should have the same rights as everyone else. So whats the need for them to tell a potential partner they're transgendered, when in theory they are that sex now.Our society has accepted gays and it's only a matter of time when transgendered people are recognised for the sex they are.

I'm just amazed people don't see the danger in this. Murders and assault directed at transgender folk are rather common. You're almost asking to get murdered by some psychotic wanna-be alpha male if you go around telling everyone you're interested in that you used to be male. It's not just some upsetting thing to go through, it's potentially life threatening.

I don't tell everyone my past and I don't see why they should. Should I tell every potential date that I was born with irritable bowels and once had a wart?

I personally dont see what this has to do with right's. There's no law that say's they have to tell people is there? The real issue here is a moral one and not telling makes that person the worst type of liar imo.

Technically they have modified themselves to be woman or man, biologically they are still the gender they were born as. And I agree that they are to have the same rights, but there are plenty of hetrosexual people who wouldn't want to be with what is a member of the same gender modified to look like a member of the opposite gender. Humans are shallow like that.

There are and there have actually been tv specials done on the very subject. It happens different ways. Sometimes they just never have sex for various reasons other times its because the person really did look so much like the opposite sex and with a sex change the other person really couldn't tell. Often times they get away with it to but some decide to flip flop back and forth between the sexes.

It is equally life threatening if someone is in a long relationship with one and then after several years their partner finds out, Infact that can even be more life threatening. I don't condone of assaulting people who are different and/or murdering them, but the anger can be far worse if it's revealed after a long time.

If you are going to conduct a relationship with someone, then it's best not to withhold information that they might find very important. For their sake and yours.

Some of you are thinking too hard on it. You're to spring important details like that to the table the moment both are interested in dating or starting a relationship with that person. It's pure selfishness to do anything else. And in my opinion, wrong. Trollish, insecure, and wrong.

It's like if you went to your favourite sandwich shop and bought your favourite sandwich, but then after one bite you realised the sandwich was all pickle and nuts instead of honey glazed ham. You'd rightly be upset at the sandwich shop proprietor for not telling you he'd just switched up the ingredients in your usual, but that doesn't mean we have to draw up a sandwich components bill to deal with the kind of thing - it should just be common sense.

I was looking at it more like the shop was selling you a roast beef sandwich, but when you bought it, it came out to be vinegar and salt with no roast beef to speak of. All while the shopkeeper and those who are those annoyingly high horses were talking about privacy? Rather than saying that "yeah, totally a lie".

It's a complicated game on their behalf, not a lot of people are accepting of them. It isn't right to lead someone on but it's difficult to admit who you truly are to someone that you have just met. I wouldn't say it is a right but I can understand a transsexual's apprehension in admitting their true selves. A lot of people don't even understand what a transsexual is, and it's easy to blame society for suppressing that information from schools and communities.

It's far too controversial of an issue to have a defiant answer on because there is no right or wrong way of really going about such a sensitive issue. It's best to have an open mind in the dating game and not to hurt someone else's feelings regardless of gender or origin.

Point is, something like that should be said immediately. Hiding something like that isn't fair to the other person. In my opinion, It's all about selfishness and deception. The person who has had "surgery" and hormones injected into them to change them from how they were physically born lie to themselves. They take steps to change it and then expect complete acceptance from those they know are not likely to accept that how they present themselves now is not at all how they were. Men who now have the physical parts of women cannot have children and will never completely be female. The same goes for women who now call themselves men.

And if you're a transgendered person, I hope that you're only involved in one-night-stands.

If you keep on seeing the person, that ENORMOUSLY increases the chances of them finding out about you anyway. And if you're worried about getting assaulted or murdered, then what's going to be more likely to result in you getting assaulted or murdered? Telling the person that you're transsexual BEFORE getting heavily involved with them, or having them find out about you AFTER they've been sleeping with you for the better part of a year?

I think it should be a crime. It's considered rape if you sneak into a woman's bedroom in the dark and have sex with her pretending to be her husband/boyfriend/whatever. She doesn't know. She thinks it's someone else. Rape.

Its quite a big part of your life, so you can't just pretend that you were never a man.

If its a serious relationship (or they want it to become serious) then they should tell their partner.

I took a women's studies c|ass in college, where I learned that looking at a women the wrong way is sexual assault, so I'm pretty sure tricking someone into letting them feel you up when you're a different gender is too.

AFAIK, people even have the right to lie (there are exceptions of course).

Just because the secret is very disgusting to some people doesnt mean that changes the above fact.

How would it go down?"Excuse me sir, I have a penis Or "Ma'am, do you have a penis or a vagina Do you have both? Did you ever surgically alter your appearance and or gender?"

If youhook-up with woman you have known since grade school you don't have to worry.

Not to many trannies are going to get dates when they tell guys they used to or had a penis Have to tell before sex.

Exactly, people have to realise that when a man changes into a woman, he is a woman. The past is the past and it doesn't have to be brought up. I'm gay but i don't have to tell everybody now do i?

So do transexuals have the right to go out with a straight person, or getting with a straight person in a club without telling them?

I think they are the opposite sex now and should be treated as equals, so yeah they don't have to reveal it to anyone.

Oh hey there. You post the picture of yourself yet from your thread yesterday? *Feels like these two things are related* But yes they need to tell them. I would be very angry if they didnt until the last minute.Screw that. There are plenty of people out there who are okay with this kind of thing. They wont be alone forever.

No still haven't posted a pic. Do you agree that when a man has a sex change he is a woman?, why don't people realise this.
