Who determines what is right? Who could, or even - who should? Not the animals for sure, because they cannot grasp concepts. Right/wrong in this case is an ethical concept, which animals cannot comprehend nor adhere to.They act out of instinct without regard for anything, and without moral dilemma.

I'm not defending it from the standpoint that it is "natural", I'm defending it from the standpoint that it is in the interest of human beings. It perhaps wasn't fair that we evolved into the master species of this planet, but it happened, and only people can have an opinion about it. Now, there's differences in society making some people who go under eventhough they work hard and contribute to the production in society, while others can drink all the champagne and eat all the oysters they want and live like pigs. I'm more concerned with that, because I am a part of that society.

I see no reason to lie about the way it is: Animals are slaves. And the animals have no means of changing that unless a new species evolve, that can somehow crush human society - extermination of the human race would possibly be the only way to achieve it. Unless, of course, you believe that it is likely for a large group of people to form a movement for animal liberation and convince the rest of the people to stop eating what they like to eat. With the animals not even thanking you for it, from where do you intend to get the motivation? Of course animals will also continue to kill people and other animals.
so it isnt wrong for you to take milk from a cow and taking eggs from a chicken (as long as they dont suffer) feed them and treat them well and its alright. i would never say that is wrong eating meat, but if people say the holocaust was bad, why cant this be just as bad?

Who would be willing to embrace a philosophy that denies humanity meat, and act accordingly? Only an insignificant small minority. There's no potential for it at all to grow into a movement.
