I agree the two are not equivalent. GZ could not say he did not kill a minor that he profiled. Then tracked and killed people saw him do it and he said so. Also they tried the case in a racist town with people from the area. The also over charged GZ ans then the almost all white female jury had a fat black woman call GZ a creepy ass cracker. People may not like it, but it is happening.

Now  Sanford is a known town with a racist history. The area was also ground zero for protest and had/has media coverage on the case. Yet they picked people 5 white women from that same area to be on the jury. Yeah I am sure they were happy to hear a black kid call a man a creepy ass cracker.
