Like, people with good morals, that either were brought up without the church or have a damn good reason not to be a part of it?

I have a damn good reason to not be a part of it. I dont believe it. And it would be rude to everyone in the Church to say I believe in something I dont.

Despite believing that they are a good person, they are still relying on their own flawed sincerity, which no matter how much they may believe they are right and even if they are, in a human sense, a "good person," does not change the fact that they have sinned yet lack the forgiveness of God. So, in short, yes.

Daang for atheist trying to flame the board with getting rid of religion topics and now this? well I see a cancellation on both sides hahaha. I shouldn't even be posting, I dont want to accidently trigger something. But think about what you are saying, God loves everyone equally, and the power of forgiveness is always there. I dont see why

I would be willing to bet that i am better than most Christians when it comes to morals and i have heard that some types of Christianity (methodist i think) say that as long as a person is good they can still go to heaven. I think a good god would allow anyone who is good to go to a good place.

Even if you believe in Hell, it wouldn't make sense that you'd actually go to it. We're born of the Earth so why would we go anywhere else when we die? We are nothing more than evolved and civilized animals.

Assuming hell and heaven exist, I would hope that good atheists would go to heaven and bad atheists would go to hell. But the terms good and bad are subjective and only a righteous god could judge.

However, the Bible seems to add a clause that you have to accept Christ as your savior above anything else. If we're using that as a reference point, then yes, good atheists go to hell. I can't say I like it but it's better than making out god to be something he's not.

You know the answer to it. You're just trying to get atheists to act scared when it's the exact opposite. It's only theists that fear hell. It would be more logical to fear a neon green unicorn from stealing all my bread.

I'm just pointing out that there's no need for people to confirm their beliefs in this thread... and there isn't an answer, as such. It's pretty much open for interpretation and the answer I gave leaves nothing for atheists to fear, actually.

The answer is: None knows. Only God can judge them.

And if someone feels they know, they are full of themselves.

If God exists, I have a feeling he is a good guy and quite frankly everything about him in the bible is BS.

Yes, atheists would get into heaven so long as they didnt do anything horrible.

And to all you diehard christians, God isnt about sending nonbelievers to hell. He is about forgiveness and acceptance. And thats if he exists lol. For all we know he could be a she, or a homosexual *gasp*

The only way one is saved from the lake of fire (or hell) is if they accept Christ into their heart and repent of their sins.
(Romans 10:8-10) - "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; {9} That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
The Bible says "Excepts man be born again, he shall not see the Kingdom of God."
How are we born again? The verses above show how.
(Revelation 20:15) - "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
When we are born again, our names are written in the Book of Life, and will never be erased.
The conclusion then, is this:
Unless one is born again, they are on their way to a devil's hell, whether they're an atheist, a muslim, a hindu, or a lost church member.
Christ, and Christ alone is the only way to be saved.
There is no other way.

I consider myself a moral person, try to learn all the time about God, but just don't believe. So if I go by the Bible, then no. I'm headed to hell, but that's ok, I've tried the best I can to understand the meaning of a God, but don't get it.
