The only way one is saved from the lake of fire (or hell) is if they accept Christ into their heart and repent of their sins.
(Romans 10:8-10) - "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; {9} That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
The Bible says "Excepts man be born again, he shall not see the Kingdom of God."
How are we born again? The verses above show how.
(Revelation 20:15) - "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
When we are born again, our names are written in the Book of Life, and will never be erased.
The conclusion then, is this:
Unless one is born again, they are on their way to a devil's hell, whether they're an atheist, a muslim, a hindu, or a lost church member.
Christ, and Christ alone is the only way to be saved.
There is no other way.Crushmaster

Ahh, don't you love religious intolerance?

That is not religious intolerance...that is the Truth of God's Word.

It is Bible Man, it simply is.

Doesn't the entire hell-not-actually-being-real-thing kind of cancel that out?

Why must you christians go around pushing your word of god bullcrap onto other people that dont want to hear it, do you get some kind of special seat in the congregation, a cut from the collection plate, what? I have never met any one other religion that goes pushing their BS on people like you guys do. Your persistence is annoying and only drives people further away.

I don't think it's up to me to make that decision. I have no idea. I doubt that if there is a god, that things would ever be so simple like that.

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

No matter how "good" one considers themself they are not worthy to enter the presence of God. Jesus died so that those who seek him will be forgiven and therefore be able to enter the presence of the Holy God.

No, I get no "special seat" or "collection cut". All I'm doing is what God commands us to do - and, what I'm only doing is reasonable service. Nothing more.
I want people to be saved by Christ and His power, as I was nine years ago.
I want people to be saved from Satan's power, sin's power, and the flesh's power.
I want people to be saved to from a devil's hell.
I want people to come to Christ.

Ah, Crushmaster! Say, you haven't responded to the message I sent you! You know, the one about how I can prove that lies about me are being stated within your own union? You know, the union full of perfect, sinless Christians? The ones that would never, ever bear false witness against their neighbors, because it's a sin? That union? That message? Remember?

But lo! What is this I see? Why, it would appear that you condone these lies and ignore my proof that they are, in fact, lies!

But. . . .that's false witnessing, Crushmaster.:o

Some people are getting off topic. The question is: Assuming Heaven and Hell do exist, Where do "good" atheists go? It has to be one or the other. I personally think that if a religion says even "good" atheists go to hell, I wouldnt want to be a part of that religion. I mean, there are many religions, each saying that the other is wrong on some issue or another. They also tell thier members to go out and get more members for thier church. Sure, Catholisism is the first "Church", but Jewism was around way before it. So, which one is right? How do you know they are right?

Some people are getting off topic. The question is: Assuming Heaven and Hell do exist, Where do "good" atheists go? It has to be one or the other. I personally think that if a religion says even "good" atheists go to hell, I wouldnt want to be a part of that religion. I mean, there are many religions, each saying that the other is wrong on some issue or another. They also tell thier members to go out and get more members for thier church. Sure, Catholisism is the first "Church", but Jewism was around way before it. So, which one is right? How do you know they are right?BloodEmblem

I don't think it's called "Jewism".

This is the part where he tells you, and btaylor, and everyone else that because everyone lies and lying is a sin, you are condemned to hell unless you accept his almighty jesus and repent from your sins, and it's the only way, and there's nothing you can say that will make him think otherwise. Why? Because he is right and you are wrong, plain and simple. Why? Because he has a book that says everything written on it is the word of god and it's true, and you don't, you're just speaking for yourself. Isn't that a good argument? I mean, how could you possibly doubt him if the book says it's all true, it's not him saying it, it's THE BOOK.

*sigh* Oh, well...
