...But, those who do not accept Christ are still lost in their sins, and are on their way to a devil's hell.
That message is not popular, no - but it is the Bible, and it is the Truth.Crushmaster

 Typical. The Bible is the truth, eh? I'm going to Hell because I don't accept Christ unto my heart, am I? Seriously, why are you preaching to us? We make our own choices; don't shove your religion and opinions down our throats...

Not according to the Bible - the only way one is accepted into heaven is if they are born again, as the Bible says, "Excepts man be born again, he shall not see the Kingdom of Heaven."
How is one born again? By accepting Jesus Christ into our heart and repenting of our sins.
And, yes, I have watched Way of the Master, and I think it is a very effective and Biblical witnessing tool.Crushmaster

you basicly proven my point. Hitler was catholic and belived in God and Jesus and frequently refered to them in his speaches. He was christian just like you, who was going to church and prayed and who asked before his dead for forgivenes, where does that put him? heaven or hell by your own standarts? If you say hell you are putting up dubble standarts for no other reason then not wanting Hitler in heaven. Ganhdi on the other hand did have respect for all religions but he was hindu, where does that put him heaven or hell?

did you also watch the video where the ration response squad basicly destroys all their arguments for god?

why bother helping others out? by the defenition of "christ dying for our sins" you don't ever need to be a good person. You can be a mass murderer as long as you belive and ask for forgivenes it's all o.k. and you get into heaven

Atheists don't want to be with God, so they will naturally separated from Him for the whole eternity (Hell). You guys can't seriously think you'll go to Heaven and say "oh, so you did exist, God. Let me into heaven". Your chance is now. That is why Christ died in the cross ~ de arimasu

Hitler deconverted from Christianity later in his life and embraced paganism. . . .

And the RRS? They're a bunch of mindless, incompetent dumbasses without a brain cell among them. They are extremists, lunatics, liars, bullies, and good for absolutely nothing. Citing their idiocy is an instant failure.

If Catholicism got it right, then we will all go to Hell.

I come from a catholic background, so I can't answer for Protestants... do any religious Protestants know?

MeanQuestion
I don't know. I guess it depends on the branch, so it's possible that, say.. The WBC would go to hell while regular Baptist Protestants don't.

So what's limbo? I remember learning that in Purgatory you can work to 'pay off' your sins through working before you go to heaven. Am I right? Is limbo just like Purgatory (****ing boring) without the working off 'your debt' part? That's assuming my definition of purgatory is right. >.>

That message is not popular, no - but it is the Bible, and it is the Truth.

So does that mean you HAVE to go to church, or can you just accept Jesus into your heart and believe in him, and repent for all your sins and help others out?

The only way to be saved is by accepting Christ into our hearts and repent of our sins. But, when Christians, we are supposed to serve Christ, so we should help others and go to church.:)
Both of those things are covered clearly in the Bible - they, however, are not a requirement of salvation.
You are not saved by going to church or helping people out.

It depends very much on how you want to interpret religion, which is a thousand different ways. But the only thing I know: never let anyone try to scare you into believing a certain thing about religion because they don't know any more than you do.

I was just giving you some information. What you do with it is up to you. You ask why we should care though.

Here's why.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Fearing God is no different from fearing the authorities. . . .do you slow down when you see a cop on the road?

It depends very much on how you want to interpret religion, which is a thousand different ways. But the only thing I know: never let anyone try to scare you into believing a certain thing about religion because they don't know any more than you do. jetpower3

I know this. God has revealed Himself and His plan of salvation in His written Word.

Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

See, that's what I'm talking about. You think you know the answer, but you only know your answer, when there's a thousand different things that these passages can mean.

That is your free will choice but along with it comes consequences.

"For the unbeliever, the fear of God is to fear the judgment of God and eternal death, which is eternal separation from God (Luke 12:5; Hebrews 10:31). For the believer, the fear of God is something much different. The believer's fear is reverence of God. Hebrews 12:28-29 is a good description of this, "Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire." This reverence and awe is exactly what the fear of God means for Christians. This is the motivating factor for us to surrender to the Creator of the Universe."

http://www.gotquestions.org/fear-God.html

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Exactly. If heaven and hell exist, I think any merciful god would judge a person based on their morals and how they lived their life, and not who/what they believe in.

Agreed.

Anything can be interpreted in a variety of different ways. However, the literal meaning is usually the correct one. I think those passages from Timothy and John quite plainly state that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. You can take it any way you want, but there is only one correct interpretation. Why not heed it?

Those are not my words, they are God's Word.

I know nothing other than what God has revealed in His general revelation in His creation, His special revelation in His Word, His living revelation in Jesus Christ, and His living revelation revelation through the Holy Spirit.
