And in one of the larger cities in China, The DogStreet, it is not what you think, this place is crammed with resturaunts that serve up dog meat. I saw this yesterday on the discovery channel, the show was, Pual Merton in China, and he said that Discovery did not want him filming this particular place of the city in China. So he exposed it.
Beating an animal with a hammer for fun sounds more far fetched. Personally, I would use a bat, or something with a bit more length if I had time to plan.[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="fbigent34"]protecting yourself agasint an animal with a hammer... do you know far fetch that sounds. MOCHIRON_MAN
How in the hell, does beating an animal for the fun of it sound far fetched!!???!! you cannot be serious!! There are people in the world that are so messed up, they will do anything to get some joy and amusement!! That involves harming those that don't deserve it!! you see the gangs out there?? They get kicks out of it from shooting people!! Honestly, get off of f****** computer, and step outside in the town and walk down the alleys, and tell me what you see. This kind of s*** happens all over the place!
Not that the fact that he was protecing himself... seem far fetched. it isn't exactly like that, It's the fact that people who dearly love dogs, and believe that no bad things are happening to them, Discovery did not want these people to see this horrible thing going on in place that is as wonderful as China. Pual Merton wanted to show them reality, and that it is not all that it seems.
they likey edit things out...fbigent34umm, dude. Discovery has cameras rolling nonstop while on location, I'll warrant, if they didn't edit things out, they would have shows that lasted 24 hours+

Oh no, They did not edit this out, they showed it. Discovery will show it, it's just they didn't want him to film this place but he did, because he [before this part] got to see some pretty cool dogs, and talk about them and stuff, than right after that, he had to show what was happening to dogs in another place.
They reccommended that he not show it actually, for reasons of upset from viewers. but he wanted to show them what was actually happening to dogs.
Personally I'll only kill a dog if that dog is trying to kill me or someone else. Dogs are dogs but to choose an animal's life over a human life would make you a very evil and heartless person.Viking_1298:| no one choosing the other over the other one. the fact of the matter people think it just an animal is disqusting beyond belif. and if you're going to kill an animal trying to protect itself you're just as bad :\

Yes, I don't care about humans, because what we get an A+ in, is killing other humans! It's rare to hear of a dog that killed some person.
I stand justified.

Why is that a reason to not care about human life? Besides which, animals are completely amoral beings, so arguing for misanthropy on the basis of morality is a bad idea.Just a dog, I figure most of you are probably saying, "So unbelievably horrible, it's just a dog, that man deserved to be beaten to death with the hammer", bla bla bla. Sorry but I don't understand your extreme compassion for animals..and why this topic is popular.Solid_Snake325The dog was in great pain. This pain was entirely unncessarily. I think it's pretty obvious why we consider it to be immoral.

In 2007, there were 33 fatal dog maulings in the USA. What kind of statement is that? Why do you give so much more value to a dog than, say, a cow or a horse?Just because this discussion is about a dog, does not mean that I do not care about a cow or a horse as much, as it appears you have failed to realize.

So overall the only humans that you value over animals are your family members? What about the countless families everywhere else that are just like yours?A few closing comments: Dogs are awesome. Dogs shouldn't be beaten or mistreated. Dogs and animals in general, while important, are not more important that humans. Animals didn't discover fire, invent the wheel, or create civilizations. Killing and animal isn't comparable to killing a human. People asking for harm to come to the person who did this are just as bad as the accused. Animals should be used in an ecologically responsible way to sustain humans. Continue with your banter,FragStainsAgree with everything except you left out Cats rule and dogs drool :o
