[QUOTE="Blood-Scribe"][QUOTE="Berzz"][QUOTE="Blood-Scribe"][QUOTE="Berzz"][QUOTE="Def_Jef88"][QUOTE="MoonSpoon"]It has nothing to do with the label. Its the fact that she had absolutely no reason to want to end her life other than being an idiot. As far as im concerned, its natural selection at work...My comment had nothing to do with sympathy. I just find it disturbing how many of you find it necessary to make your snide and crude comments. It's amazing how many of you let a word or label impair your entire judgement. If anything, you guys have conformed to "emo" just as much as the "emo" kids themselves.

You people feel as if you knew the person in real life just by reading that article.
Are you not guilty of the same thing by sympathizing with her simply because you assume that she was depressed rather than just unreasonable about not being able to go to a friend's house? No one knows here for sure why she killed herself, we're all guilty of being presumptuous about this. I didn't see anything in the article indicating that she had serious problems, whether they be substance abuse or just bad grades, or what have you. That's the only thing I have to base my opinion off of, and when it comes right down to it, I really don't care. Even if it isn't true, my opinion and yours would stand in a hypothetical sense, so it doesn't really matter anyway. The congruity of the article is irrelevant if there's only one source, and no one here knew her, so that's irrelevant.
I'm not really discussing her reasons for killing herself, what I'm talking about is the reaction of you people towards a person's death.
So then death is completely categorical and there's no reason for me to not be saddened by it?
You can absolutely have no sympathy for this kid's death, but you could at least show some respect and not call her an idiot (not you in this particular case).
I could, but it's kind of hard to hold respect for someone that I barely know (or rather, don't know at all) and killed themselves over a trivial matter. It seems as though you don't care about why she died, but just the fact that she died.
