SO I was just in the junk of junk forum sections (System Wars) and I noticed a mod locked a thread that was titled (G4TV=Fox News of gaming).

The mod left a comment saying that the thread was not relevant in System Wars (which I agree) but then he said "There a number of users on here who like Fox news".

Please tell me this is not true.

I know just about any news outlet is heavily biased but FOX News is the King of them.

And with horrible shows like Bill O 'Reilly and Glen Beck there is little good in it.

Do people here on the Gamespot forums actually like FOX News?

And if so why?

Fox appeals to the right wing. Far as I know, there are many registered republicans in the US.

I guess the DailyKos and moveon.org had their weekly meeting, and told their supporters to go out and make a Fox News is bias thread.

Fox News is actually the most watched channel of any of the 24/7 news channels sadly.

Yes, because a channel that fabricates stories and edits audio out of video segments to make it appear that people aren't cheering for Obama is the answer to that issue. Protip: If the only way to come up with a conservative bias is to actively manufacture one, your ideology has no merit.

Why is that so shocking? And that mod really said that! Why lock a thread because people like a news channel? Also I watch it because it gives an opinion that others do not, not only do not give but at times try to pretend doesnt even exist. Yes, Conservatives do actually exist, they are not mythical beasts.

Fox News satiates the right wing's desire for "biased" news. So of course some people like it.

I have no problem with that (everyone likes it when they hear want they want to hear), they just need to stop with the "fair and balaced" stuff.

No matter how awful you might consider Fox News to be, it's not as bad as the intellectually dishonest, misinformation-propagating idiots at MSNBC.

And just so you know I do not really support any news channel I think most of them are garbage.

I just think Fox News is one of the worst especially when their motto "fair and balanced" is completely the opposite of what they do.

BTW did anyone see the hilarious and ironic remark Glen Beck made about the saudi prince Alwaleed Bin Talal.

He made the remark about the US not taking the Prince's 10 million dollar check many years ago and he says it with pride when he forgets the one who accepted the check was Rupert Murdoch the owner of FOX News.

And even more Ironic is that the Prince is second in shareholding only beaten by Rupert Murdoch.

So really Glen Beck just talked some smack about someone who owns a large part of Fox News and he indirectly puts a bad name on Rupert Murdoch without knowing he accepted the check.

I was laughing hard when I saw him make that comment and I was thinking about the situation he would have later with some of the higher ups at FOX News.

Yah but FOX News probably wouldn't let Glen Beck rip on them too much considering that the guy he was ripping about it the top 2nd shareholder and is practically Glen's boss just as much as Rupert is.

And he badmouth's the prince directly and indirectly to Rupert.

Olbermann, as well as Chris Matthews and Rachel MadCow. I agree with you and with Communistik. The amount of propaganda on that channel is just disgraceful. I don't understand they don't just donate themselves to the Obama administration...actually, they pretty much have already. When a network's entire prime time programming is dedicated almost exclusively to having intellectually dim-witted commentators hurl insults at another network (Fox News), you know it's time for new ownership and management. I mean, it's not that much of a concern, because MSNBC isn't even really considered a news network anymore, and their competition isn't Fox News or CNN (it's CNN Headline, CNN's backup channel), but it is a little disturbing that people watch it and even more so that they believe it's actually "news."

I don't really watch the news from TV anymore. If I find something interesting I will search for varied views on many sources online.

Problem with the internet is that you could find a website to support any viewpoint you had so you need to also look at viewpoints you don't support.

One of the few "kind of like a" news video source is "The Young Turks".

I agree with a lot of what host says and I like his personality and how he presents the news.

I am neither conservative or liberal and I support alot of viewpoints from both sides I wish there were more new sources that would cover both the left and the right with no pull for either side, but I don't see that happening.

True, and also add "The Daily Show" or "The Colbert Report".

Nobody watches TDS or TCR as news. They're comedy shows. The only people who treat them like real news outlets are, hilariously enough, cable TV news shows like Fox, CNN, and MSNBC.

Never doubt the true extent to which Glenn Beck is uninformed. He accused MSNBC of being a communist organisation because their headquarters is in the Rockerfeller building. Of course, Fox News is also in the rockerfeller building....
