Smoten eh?
*Goes on dictionary.com*
Interesting, no such word exists. FAIL!
:| *is confused why I had "Fail" shouted at me for helping*Stop smoking it solves everything about this situation. Though if you really can't bring your self to that complain to the manager or something (if he is one your ****ed)Boston_Boyy
Okay all of you people need to stop bringing smoking into this situation. Geezer chooses to smoke and he has the freedom to do so. Imagine if you went to radio shack and bought some components and the clerk called you a nerd, how would you react?
I'm there to buy stuff. And that's it.
Then why care how you're treated? Buy your **** and go home.Because I am NOT there to buy stuff and be insulted by the person who I am paying to sell me stuff.
What part of "and that's it" do you not understand?
You act like that store belongs to you. CHUMP![QUOTE="Boston_Boyy"]Stop smoking it solves everything about this situation. Though if you really can't bring your self to that complain to the manager or something (if he is one your ****ed)Videogamefan123

Exactly. Or again, if you frequently bought your games from a videogame store, and the clerk was constantly talking **** about your taste in videogames. If he had some kind of agenda against violent games, and every time you bought a violent videogame he said, "Okay, here's your Murder Simulator, sir." Or if he saw you walking up to the counter with Metal Gear Solid 4 and he decided to make "small talk" by saying, "So, did you manage to make it through today without murdering anyone?"
That'd be a bit different, wouldn't it, because the people here LIKE GAMES.
Question...If a videogame store just happened to hire a dude with a radical anti-violence agenda, and that dude was giving you **** every time you bought violent games, would it REALLY be a reasonable solution to suggest that you stop buying any more violent videogames? Is it REALLY reasonable to suggest that the problem is YOUR GAMING TASTES rather than a clerk who is being an ass? And is it REALLY reasonable to suggest that the next time you visit the store you buy "The Bible Game" rather than "Fallout 3"?

As far as I'm concerned it's his right to say whatever he wants, and it's my right to buy whatever I want to buy (at a video game store).
Therefore, I wouldn't be ticked off because I'm not petty.

You act like that store belongs to you. CHUMP!I'm just gonna say that I've gone through all 400 posts of this thread without flaming or insulting anyone. And in this entire thread, the only time I bothered to report anyone was when I saw a comment stating that I should die. I've been putting up with 400 postsworth of people flat out insulting me and calling me names (including moderators), and I've only made ONE complaint. And in this entire thread, I've managed to make my point without resorting to personal insults, name calling, or character attacks. I am the one taking the high road here. And I think that gives me the right to ask you not to call me names. Your response is calling me a chump? REALLY?! Because I haven't resorte to name calling in this thread, and what you're doing is clearly against the rules of this forum. So I'm asking you to keep it clean. If you are incapable of making an argument without your entire argument being "you're a chump", then you've not added anything to this thread, and you're resorting to mere name-calling. Which is also laughable, because that doesn't do anything to discredit the points I've made about the responsibilities of someone working in customer service.
Just STOP with this "he's just stating a fact" bullcrap. It's also a fact that the PS3 totALLY sucks. Now, having said that, how would YOU feel if you made a bad decision and ended up buying a PS3? Sure, you wish that you'd have bought something else. But that's not what happened. You bought a PS3. So you make the best of it, and try to buy the absolute best games that are available on the PS3. And then EVERY time you find the best PS3 game available, the guy at the cash register say "Ha ha! Pfft! *snicker* You ACTUALLY OWN a PS3? Lol!"[QUOTE="Eternal_Triumph"]Don't you have more to do in your life than try to get a man
who has children and bills fired and throan out of his onto the street?
Seriously. You see him maybe 5 mins a day tops, and hes effecting
you to this degree? He seems to be effecting you because you
must be self conscious about your own smoking habits, because
otherwise you wouldn't even give a f*** what he has to think or say.
Don't kill the messenger BTW, hes just telling you something common
sense should arleady be screaming, and this is coming from a smoker.
MrGeezer
Does it MATTER that it's a known fact that the PS3 sucks? No. It's about the fact that this dude is in the freaking business of selling PS3 games. If the dude has THAT much of a problem seling PS3 games, to the point that he needs to insult the customers who buy PS3 games, then he SHOULD lose his job.
we're not on system wars and having a PS3 is not unhealthy, unlike smoking.

That's not the issue. Regardless of whether smoking is bad, or the PS3 sucks, the dude is in the business of selling said products. He was aware of that when he took the job. If he's that uncomfortable with doing that to the point that he makes Marlboro or PS3 customers want to buy Marlboros and PS3s elsewhere, then he deserves to lose his job. He can then presumably find another job that does NOT require him to sell Marlboros or PS3s.

That's ridiculous. No one likes being judged, especially about what they're paying MONEY for.[QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"]Why would he need a source when he's saying something that would have been the logical step in diffusing the situation? Why are you ranting about it here instead of going to the store and saying all of it there? Is smoking that important to you? :? wDo you have a reliable source to support such a claim?
MrGeezer
Did you ever consider that I might not talk too good? Did you ever consider that I mnight have socialization disorders which make it incredibly difgficult for me to socialize with people in any meaningful way? Is THAT any of the cashier's business? If a customer walks in with a burned face, should the employee get to laugh at her because she's ugly? Are the CIRCUMSTANCES of the customer's face ANY of the employee's business?
LOL LET'S LAUGH AT THE KID WITH THE SOCIAL DISORDER LOL[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="DigitalExile"]Then why care how you're treated? Buy your **** and go home.3-Legged_Man

This thread is boring - would have been epic if posters 1-50 all said, maybe you should stop smoking in some form or anotherseabiscuit8686this isn't gamefaqs. Gamefaqs, and how they seem to do that with half their threads, is boring.
