from first hand experience i can tell you it isn't dangerous at all
but it can get you in legal trouble...
2 Things 1) Alcohol is legal, weed is not(Medically it is in the US but thats not the point) 2) You can die as a consequence of being so high you don't know what the f*ck your doing.Alcohol is MUCH worse then marijuana. People die from alcohol related illness everyday. You never hear of anybody dieing from being a pot head.

His arguement still beats yours because 1)Alcohol will never be used for medicinal purposes (It's legal, just for the same reasons marijauna can be legal) and 2)You can't get to that level of highnesswith marijuana, it's not like acid -_-

In the US it is a Schedule I drug. Considered worse than heroin, meth, cocaine and opium. :ofoxhound_fox
*does a double take to see if actually true*
HOLY FVCK!
It's even a lower rate than I said. It's 10-30% become dependent. It's not physically addicting but you can develop a dependency for it.WasdieOh no, not a dependancy! I have a dependancy on sex, video games and caffeine. My life is ruined! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Edit: Oh yeah, and ibuprofin. Need that 400mg capsule to get me through the day.
I know at least 5 people that have died from it. True story.SolidSnake35impressive did they kill themselves?
I know at least 10 guys who smoked it back in the 60's. They are now borderline retarded. They take forever to comprehend any kind of thought and it can take them up to 5 minutes to answer a question.

They say weed is a gateway drug, Must of been the crack or meth >_>

You don't understand. Lots more people die from Alcohol everyday because its publicly available to everyone over 18. In high doses THC(The active ingredient of Weed) can induce intense anxiety, psychosis and mood disorders. You can't die from it, but that doesn't mean its safe. And know your history, because alcohol has been used for medicinal purposes.[QUOTE="ydnarrewop"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]It's not linked to the DEVELOPMENT of schizophrenia but if you have a predisposition, then it can trigger it. Cause it or open the bars for it to escape...semantecs really. Hey after all these year I'm fine....shhh I'm still talking.
Um, no it's completely different. If you were never going to "be schizophrenic" then marijuana CAN NOT cause it, or whatever. Ok first of all schizophrenia is an illness. It's an illness brought on my chemical reactions/imbalances in the brain. What does Hippy Hay do? It causes chemical reactions in the brain. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get the **** but neither is it 100% guaranteed that cancer sticks will give you cancer. Look at the schizophrenia website: "Use of street drugs (including LSD,methamphetamine,marijuana/hash/cannabis) and alcohol have been linked with significantly increased probability of developing psychosis and schizophrenia." http://www.schizophrenia.com/prevention/streetdrugs.htmlI know at least 5 people that have died from it. True story.SolidSnake35Did they consume or smoke more than 1500 lbs in an hour?

No, you don't understand. The only people that die from alcohol is the ones who get drunk and commit things that kill them, not because it's publicly available to a vast majority people. If it's not safe, then why is it used for medicinal purposes? IMO, depending on your tolerance level and THC level of strain is how hard the bud is gonna hit you. Like if it was your first time smoking and you smoked some dank, intense anxiety and psychosis would probably occur because of your tolerance. side effects are not permanent and can be overcome.
and yes I know that alcohol was used for medicinal purposes, I forgot about = /

Its among the least horrible banned drugs, but I don't see why its so much worse than alcohol or cigarettes. Cigarettes are addicting and alcohol is responsible for a lot of unnecessary deaths. Its already everywhere, I don't know what anyone thinks they are accomplishing by having it banned because the kids have it and if you want it it isn't very hard to get. Just legalize it and tax it heavily, I'm sure not much more people would die from the stuff than the people who use it would, and alcohol will always be responsible for more deaths anyway because unlike smoking and weed, its practically a part of our culture to drink and get drunk.

Well, they've been friends with my dad since college, and he's pretty sure they've never done anything beyond weed. They say they never have either.
It's a fact that marijuana is the worst drug ever for you. It instantly leads to a crack or heroine addiction, and some users have been known to experiment with krokodil shortly after smoking. If you're vaporizing the THC it's even worse for you because then you're inhaling pure chemicals. You can die from using a vaporizer.
I'm kidding. Some absolutely hilarious posts in this thread by people who know jack sh!t though. "Marijuana kills brain cells hurr I read it on DARE.gov and they said it on those abovetheinfluence commercials!"
lol ok then. It's the website's info. I'm just passing it on. ydnarrewopI'd recommend doing some research on reputable chemistry or biology websites about the stuff you're actually getting, not some bullsh!t study from a biased website that's been disproven multiple times. In every case that I've read, Schizo developed only in someone with predisposed symptoms of psychosis or with a genetic background for mental disorders.

Used for medicinal purposes IN HISTORY. Not in the present day. Alcohol is poisonous to you liver, and can lead to liver failure.[QUOTE="TChaivong"][QUOTE="DeX2010"] You don't understand. Used for medicinal purposes IN HISTORY. Not in the present day. Alcohol is poisonous to you liver, and can lead to liver failure. There are many studies that show moderate intake of alcohol is actually beneficial to your health, so let's not dismiss it quite yet.[QUOTE="ColdExistence"]It isn't dangerous. I guess if you were a chronic smoker, you could develop some lung disease, but weed doesn't necessarily have to be smoked. It can be ingested with food. It can be vaporized. Probably injected, too. As far as I'm aware, the biggest danger that comes from weed is that it makes you awfully hungry. I could see myself gaining a few pounds if I got high every day. chaoscougar1Injected? What weed are you...injecting? Being hungry is anything buy a problem, WHO DOESN'T LOVE FOOD?!?!?!?!
In theory you probably could inject some kind of THC saline solution. In fact in wouldn't suprise if it's been done before. Hell I had mates who used to bang up vodka when they had nothing else :P
it turned my cousin from a waste of space into a waste of space that stays up all night and smokes like a chimney and eats like a blue whale.AllicrombieWell, at least he's being slightly more productive.
Cigs - Bad chemicals
Alcohol - Depends how much you really drink.
Weed - Only dangerious if you were born stupid.
Lol QFTSafer than an aspirin.
On a side note: smoking 1 cigarette is healthier than eating 1 hamburger at McDonald's. :Plancea34
Only as dangerous as how much food you cram in your food hole in one sitting. Serious munchies can lead to serious fatties, you know?
They just concluded a study that said that pot smoke in moderation actually increases oxygen. It really doesn't hurt your lungs like people had thought. Any other effects other than a temporary short term memory loss while you're smoking a lot, are nothing more than Reefer Madness propoganda. And if you're wondering, no, I don't smoke weed but have no problem with it. Just hate the ignorant and the misguided that say in truth, that it's soooo bad. As bad as coke and crack, etc. Alcohol is actually one of the worst for your health and body over a period of time.
You're so wrong. Smoke of any kind damages the lungs. Inhaling smoke does not "increase oxygen." I'd really love to see your source. And just FYI, I am not against pot. I enjoy it. But it's ignorant to say that inhaling smoke benefits you. They just concluded a study that said that pot smoke in moderation actually increases oxygen.
