I've been trying that for years. Then something comes along and it changes my perception again. It's just so, SO negative in the world in general. I don't see how you do it.[QUOTE="CecilChups"]
[QUOTE="MirkoS77"]What a terrible way to see things. Â You just need to know where to look, you are only seeing what you choose to. Â There is as much beauty in the world as there is ugliness. Â How you decide to view and live your life around it is only up to you. I'm a pessimist myself, but even I can easily say there is always hope and it's very possible to see all the good among the bad.

Also, knowing humanity will kill itself out of selfishness and greed really doesn't help matters. We had it all and now we will destroy it all. I just feel sorry for the planet itself that it has to deal with our species.
I tend to believe that the harsher things get for people, the more prone they are to become positive. Â Almost like it's necessary to survive. Â I also agree with others to ignore much of what you see and hear. Â It's the information age, you hear about all the bad in the blink of an eye from everywhere every day, and nothing garners more attention than coverage of negative news events.I find Bill Waterson put it best:
"It's not denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept."
At times, I wish television news never existed. All it does it show that people love seeing bad things happen to others. Its incredibly sad. I mean, why else does it sell so much and its always being reported?
