Well if you're not religious then there is no reason to believe in Hell to begin with, don't worry about it.

alright then. But by the way, and i hope that Teenaged and Gabuex would read this one, you accused me of disrespecting atheists since i say they will all go to hell, but you dont pay attention to what atheists always do, which is denying others beliefs and explicitly stating that they are praying for nothing and everything they believe in is just imagination. I participate in religious topics often, but i have never began a topic saying "Atheists, you will all go to hell", but we see topics like "There is no god and the bible is a mere imagination" all the time. Of course im being totally illogical  GazaAli
So because some atheists may disrespect theists means that you can go ahead and do the same?
And I emphasise: SOME. You seem to think that by definition atheism's goal is to 'deny others beliefs'. Sure because as we all know all atheists believe that theists are to be laughed at or not to be respected.
You just seem to try very hard to excuse yourself for what you said in this thread.
Dont get the wrong impression. If you deserve some "scolding" for saying what you said the same applies to an atheist who says the equivalent for them.
lol why do you insist to bring what i said over and over, this is kind of pathetic, i expect more arguments and less nagging to be honest. I mean TC himself did not pay much attention to it. i said it out and clear many times that i didnt mean it this way and it just came out and i also apologized, but you really seem to hold into it, which is quiet annoying to be honest. I used to like to argue you in such topics, but you let me down in this one. but out of curiosity how old are you anyway? But back to your claim, when some atheists deny theists belief and we get offended you all like "How is this offensive? we talk science and you talk what? faith:lol:"
You really brought his age into this. *facepalm*lol why do you insist to bring what i said over and over, this is kind of pathetic, i expect more arguments and less nagging to be honest. Dude you are coming here again quoting vandalvideo just to complain again for us scolding you about what you said. You are the one that is bringing up the issue again; not me.
And arguments? The issue we are discussing has little to do with arguments. It has to do with how we treat one another.
And you generalise again without caring in the least to leave some room for doubt in what you are saying. I for instance would never claim that theists (without clarification; implying that all do so) tell atheists that they will go to hell.
And I am 20. Satisfied?
facepalm or asspalm yourself, i only asked because i want to know how old is he. i always ask anybody i met new about his/her age, which seems like an essential question to me.GazaAliAsspalm? Should I take that as an insult? Anyways when you ask someone their age during an argument it is usually to belittle them.

But now that i think about it, we really did not argue about something, we just nagged each other which is quiet sad in my opinion.

And I didnt even quote the post you made quoting vandal.
I quoted another one you made afterwards which went much further than just clarifying that your words were taken out of context.

so you're jewish then. that's cool with me.Listen everyone, I believe that God is real, and I believe that Hell does not exist. why would God create such an amazing world, and then send us all to Hell if we're bad in life? It doesn't make sense. I am not trying to destroy your beliefs. You can believe what you like, and that's okay.
I want to know how many of you believe the same thing. I will respect your religion and beliefs.

There is no Hell , contradictory to popular beliefs, when you die you sleep til God comes back and judge you, if you were good you ll be resurrected for 1000 years in those years the devil will be gone and you ll have a chance to become '''perfect'' like adam and eva once were, after 1000 years the devil will be unleshed again and he will test you. If you have more questions feel free to ask me, i actually know alot about religion.Solid_Tangowait what? Adam and Eve weren't perfect. Hence the whole eating of the fruit of knowledge story.

The idea of Hell, a place of eternal torture and suffering for finite crimes, and its compatibility with and creation by an omni-benevolent, just and merciful being just does not make any sense. Understandably, "Hell" can be defined in many ways, but I am going with the commonly accepted "Dantean" vision of Hell, where sinners are sent by God into pits of fire and eternally punished (in ironic fashions) for their crimes on Earth. It is a theological contradiction, which the Bible even refutes by having very little about "Hell" (often the translation of Gehenna) either as an eternal place, or one where God sends people to be "punished."
A lot of what is in the Bible about Hell seems to stem from the Zoroastrian idea that during the final renovation of the universe, the wicked are purged of their sins in a trial of molten fire, and freed from all their sins to be reunited with Ahura Mazda and the righteous in the perfect creation.

Errr, who are you to judge whats right and wrong without proof? And I know many 13-14 year olds who play FF13, talk about religion. and I have well near 800 trophies.
Btw I am Catholic, I believe Hell exists, its a place where you go if you deny God, it is eternal seperation from God.
How can you believe in God/Satan/Heaven, but not believe in Hell?
[QUOTE="Teenaged"]When you accuse someone of going to hell you are making implications about their morality, their way of life, their worth as humans and what they deserve.[QUOTE="GazaAli"] When you accuse someone of killing people, you directly decide the way this person is going to be treated in airports, the way this person is going to be thrown in jail, and many other implications im sure you know. But when you tell someone you are going to hell, you are not interfering with anything directly. I still dont understand why would someone who does not believe in hell get offended by telling him you are going to hell, i mean there is no hell, whats the point anyway.Taegukki
I can play this game too.
Even good people can go to hell if they do not accept Christ. It's unfortunate, but true. This is a large part of why there are so many atheists. Religions would do well to remove that part from the faith.
Listen everyone, I believe that God is real, and I believe that Hell does not exist. why would God create such an amazing world, and then send us all to Hell if we're bad in life? tigertechie
Actually, the biblical god made it clear hell isn't exclusive to "bad" people. Good people can go to hell to, and do so very regularly according to the bible. The posters who said no hell in religion would mean less atheism may be right. One of the ways I started doubting God was spending time with people who were "sinners", and honestly thinking about whether or not they deserved to suffer in a lake of fire for eternity. My answer was "no". If they didn't deserve to burn in hell, then god's claim they would burn in hell was morally wrong. How can I worship a being I am morally superior to? It was a big factor in my deconversion.
How can you believe in God/Satan/Heaven, but not believe in Hell?
WiiMan21
If we define "hell" as the place where the damned spend eternity in torment, the earliest Christians for the first few centuries overwhelmingly did not believe in hell; rather, they believed that the fate of unrepentant sinners was corrective punishment and that all men would eventually be reconciled with God.

Maybe because God would never torture people eternally after creating them.I believe both were inventions to encourage good and bad behavior, and to help maintain and foster a conscience from an early age so people in general did not descend further in to uncaring beasts incapable of supporting a civilization. Either that or it had something to do with money. : )albatrossdrumsYour point?

I was not aware that it's possible to believe in God/Heaven but not Hell.scorch-62lol its possible to believe in whatever you want. But IMO on the topic. none of it exists. Theres here and now, and when its gone. there's only the next life.
I'm not going to be arrogant enough to claim that Hell doesn't exist and that I'm not destined to eventually end up there, but if that's the case one thing's for certain: it's a sick, sick world we live in. To believe in such a thing as Hell, and especially that going there is warranted, is a flat out abhorrent belief to hold.

The punishment for sin is hell, Man fell into sin. Since God is a just God he cant just change the rules, but he did give us away out and that was his son Jesus. If you believe that God sent his son Jesus down to free us from sin you yourself have been freed. Those who do not have to take the punishment for sin. _rock_

... That makes no sense.. "Just a god", the being is suppose to be all powerful and omnipetent.. And god supposedly "changed" the rules with the new testament and Jesus Christ..
