If Master Chief turned out to be gay would your opinion of the game and it's hero change? In what ways and why?

There are very few movies and (as far as I know) video games in which the player is gay This is just an example of how the gay community is statistically under represented in all but niche areas of the media buisness. I would suggest that this is laregly a result of public opinion. Based on the above questions, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps game companies need to help in achieving change.

I'm not very fond of Halo, so I wouldn't care.

Gamers don't want to play as gay men. Hot gay women, yes. But gay men? No.

I'm not much of a fan of Master Chief, besides I don't hate gay characters in my fiction, I like to play as Venom in Guilty Gear, he's gay and still is an awesome character, being gay doesn't mean you have to be effeminate or flamboyant is just a prefference and it isn't exclusive of badassness.

From what I understand, it was never hinted at in any of the books. Rowling just blurted it out for no apparent reason after she'd completed the series.

Game companies should not start making Gay Protagonists. The Protoganists are Heterosexual because that is what the majority of Gamers identify with.

To be honest, that would be pretty cool. Although, it would have to be kept a secret from my parents. Those anti-social government hating religion loving (insert dirty word. I don't care which one, GS blocks them all.)

It's always nice seeing a gay guy kick some ass. That's one reason why I liked Tru Blood. But with an ambiguous character like master Chief, I really don't think it would matter.
