[QUOTE="v13_KiiLtz"] That would be inconsistancy. Dinosaurs were long gone before humans came about.Theokhoth

Not really there are many non biblical accounts of dinosaur like like creatures being spotted and carvings, images dated back to thousands of years ago

Those aren't dinosaurs, dude. There are some pretty big modern-day animals out there, like elephants, komodo dragons, and HOLY ****ING HUGE PIRANHAS.

It's not alone in HOLY-SHEEP ness Hehe.

[QUOTE="Theokhoth"] Crocodile, most likely. Theokhoth

heres the actual verse Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you; He eats grass like an ox. Behold now, his strength in his loins, And his power in the muscles of his belly. He bends his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are knit together. His bones are tubes of bronze; His limbs are like bars of iron. (Job 40:15–18) Im not saying its for sure a dinosaur but its definatly not a croc, its something bigger

Elephant, then.

see that would make sense but you can not compare an elephant tale to a cedar, an elaphant tale is like a rope. And job also goes on to describe a water creature called Leviathan, not a croc or a whale, because the Hebrew language has terms for that.

Let me ask you something, "if god made the universe then who made god"? Something had to come from NOTHING! I think it's more likely the universe came from nothing then a "magical man with a white beard" that lives in the clouds........... oh, wait he doesn't live in the clouds because clouds are just water vapor. Do you why we know that? Because of science. Without science, we would be nowhere in this world, and religion is the thing that is holding us BACK!

When did I say that I thought God was a magical man in the clouds? What if he's a scientist in a lab coat trying to make his own universe?

Animals were created before humans. And in the days of before the fall of Adam, I'm pretty sure a day is not considered 24 hours. We're talking a time period before the Earth fell before the heavens. In addition there were some animals that never did make its way onto Noah's Ark, as well as some animals never introduced until after the Flood of the Earth.

Cute, by your logic, the fact that video games with AI existing would prove that a magical man with a white beard made us with a dev kit. And double cute that you think religion is holding us back. I think it's more of close-minded individuals who are truly holding others back.

Yea crocs were giant Godzilla's that crept the earth and then at some point starting walking on 4 legs and shrinked. There isnt going to be a MAJOR differance like that.

Except the verse is talking about how the tail bends, not how the tail looks; and an elephant's tail bends. Leviathan can be a shark, a massive jellyfish, or any other creepy-ass thing in the ocean.

You didn't. I was just saying back in the day people thought god lived in the clouds, but now we know it's not true. Also, the the universe or god, one of those two, had to come from nothing.

cedar trees dont bend, the drag along, this would suggest a creature with a messive tail that drags behind him, elephant tales are tiny, no one marvels at elephant tales. And maybe your right about the Leviathan being a shark, but it could be a plesiosaur

not all dinosaurs are HUGE, but the one job describes seems more than an elephant or hippo,

"his power in the muscles of his belly. He bends his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are knit together. His bones are tubes of bronze; His limbs are like bars of iron"

Its something powerful thats all I know,

See I dont like talking to uneducated people like you who completely disregard opposing views and are so close minded. I do believe a lot of science is true, it explains many things and I totally agree with a lot of it. But not evolution, there is no real evidence, fossils bones mean nothing, theory's are just theory's, yea I believe in micro-evolution, over times creatures change adaptions but no, a creature can not turn into human and then reproduce and create more humans, its impossible.

[QUOTE="gaming25"][QUOTE="NVIDIATI"] Prove me wrong.NVIDIATI

People believe for various reasons. And calling it "fiction" is insensitive and ignorant.

Telling me there is a creator is not insensitive and ignorant too? Or is religion leaps and bounds above everyone else?

Well, if there is a God, or to make things more interesting: If the Christian God is real and who he says he is, he by far isn't 'ignorant'. I believe he's insensitive myself, so I'll let that fly. The real trick is the fact you are dubbing something as fiction that you do not fully grasp. Unless you have an absolute method of proving that nothingness can create the universe as complex as it has, then at the very most, all you're doing is trolling while the rest of the thread is having pretty insightful reads. So in short, you are the only person laying your opinion down as fact, or at least giving off that impression, so, you should be the only person giving solid facts backing your statements.

I don't believe in the Abrahamic god or any fatherly figure in the heavens, ratherI believe in an intelligence far superior than ourselves .

My reason for believing in this intelligence is because when you look at what we & the universe with it's infinite gases are made up of, these atoms and it's protons electrons and such & such, you find that we're made up of absolutely 0 matter. So i view it in that we are just a thought, an idea being expressed by this higher intelligence you would probably call god and the gift this 'god' gave us is to express consciousness, experience Life and what we feel and to ultimately realize that we are all the same in the end. A part of this divine entity. In it's image we are made to be conscious of who we are. God.

Probably a little bit of all of the above. Mostly self security, it's kind of depressing to think that there's nothing beyond life as we know it. I think at this point, I'm hopingrather than fully believing.I'm not entirely sure of what I fully think about it, to be honest, and I don't debate this issue very much with myself anymore.

The Bible, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to put it simply solves the mystery of life for me. That is my proof of why I believe, but beyond that I like carrying Jesus with me just like I enjoy wearing a Celtic Cross upon my neck. I cannot turn my back on Divine truth.

You fill the gap of the unknown with a creator. A random variable "x" that in your case has taken the form of a christian god, whom also happens to be a male hence the "he." Or are my statements pushed aside making me an outcast among those who believe? Intern leading you to believe I'm "trolling."

[QUOTE="SEGAmaniac7"][QUOTE="HoolaHoopMan"][QUOTE="SEGAmaniac7"] Yes I am, call me crazy but they weren't extinct 6 billion years ago. I don't even believe the world is that old.

So you disregard scientific evidence in favor of a book written by man with vague passages about "cedar trees" then?

See I dont like talking to uneducated people like you who completely disregard opposing views and are so close minded. I do believe a lot of science is true, it explains many things and I totally agree with a lot of it. But not evolution, there is no real evidence, fossils bones mean nothing, theory's are just theory's, yea I believe in micro-evolution, over times creatures change adaptions but no, a creature can not turn into human and then reproduce and create more humans, its impossible.

Calling him uneducated is ironic in this instance

That sounds like a loop waiting to happen. Here: I did not tell you that 'nothingness created the universe' as fiction, which would be what you did. I just explained why I choose to believe in a magical man in the sky. You chose to call said magical man fictional, knowing that we have Christians on this forum, therefore, trolling. Of course, you could always be all literal and say "I never specified/singled-out religion!', but that doesn't change much. [Yes I said 'magical man in the sky'. ]

Evolution is total BS and is something Science has yet to prove, just like the Big Bang. Both are nothing more than conjecture.

I want to see proof behind this statement.

The proof being that Evolution and the Big Bang are not scientific fact. Regardless of how strongly scientists believe in it, they have yet to prove it as fact.
