Atom bombs are a thing of the past, kind of a relic from the cold war. The world has moved on. And besides, I don't think Iran is really interested in nukes. Just like Iraq as we found out wasn't.
Israel has many nukes, yet they can't defeat palastineans.
India can't defeat Pakistan.
North Korea can't defeat the South.
And even when the Soviets collapsed, their nukes didn't help them in the cold war.
I think Iran is more of a military power. They rely on their military a lot more than anything.

India has defeated Pakistan in every war they have been in. What are you talking about?
What is Pakistani controlled Kashmir then? (Not taking Pakistani side, but just sayin')Na man, na! Nobody want to play rough with you or the US. The Iranian people are a very calm people. Just cool it, PLEASE!Oh, so they want to play rough then, huh?... Okay then. Bring it on!

Yeah that's what I'm sayin', India wants that and the Pakistanis don't want to give it to them. Besides that, I think India does not recognize Pakistan and sees it as illegitimate.[QUOTE="taj7575"][QUOTE="outworld222"] What is Pakistani controlled Kashmir then? Yeah that's what I'm sayin', India wants that and the Pakistanis don't want to give it to them. Besides that, I think India does not recognize Pakistan and sees it as illegitimate.Neither side really controls it..Both sides say they do...But there is actually more Indian presence there, so you could say it's India that has in and Pakistan that wants it.
[QUOTE="lordreaven"][QUOTE="imaps3fanboy"] And tell me how they are going to transport all of the soldiers they have? Their air force is PATHETIC.On3ShotOneKillI thought China had a well developed fighter force? Air transportation they lack, but the Fighters are almost the best in the region iirc. China's fighters have gotten better, but Russan fighters will out turn and outshoot any Chinese aircraft. However the most important element in an air battle is the pilot, not the technology ;) very true on that part.

Unless you are talking about helicopters, in which case hardware makes for the biggest margins.
By boat and plane would be almost impossible. There is NO way they could fly it in.imaps3fanboy
This may have been addressed later in the thread, but doesn't a ****load of cocaine and other junk get boated into the US on a regular basis? Flown in too, like in Blow. :)

yea.. I was thinking that they could bring a nuke in by an unmarked, illegal aircraft, and we all know how that would end.Why do I get the feeling republicans will start criticizing Obama if his response isn't basically a form of "OH IT'S ON! You want some?! *starts third war*"?
Maybe because you have a false generalization about republicans? Why do I get the feeling republicans will start criticizing Obama if his response isn't basically a form of "OH IT'S ON! You want some?! *starts third war*"?

Well..It's somewhat true when you think about it. Reps have a tendency to be very pro-Israel, anti-*Insert any other country in the middle east* view into the middle eastern situation.

Considering I've seen posts that have basically said "The president should go to war with this country" over minor things such as empty threats, and the fact there were people who had a fit that Obama didn't assert his male dominance over the rest of the civilized world and *gasp* bowed to another leader as a sign of respect, it seems plausible.

Just because a couple of posters on GS said that doesn't mean all republicans are like that lol.Not that, the **** Davy Crockett, cant even be fired without irradiating the soldiers in the blast radius. ICBM's the future :PThis is a nuke

Just because a couple of posters on GS said that doesn't mean all republicans are like that lol.Of course not all are. You can't really blanket an entire group. Not all republicans are against healthcare, not all republicans voted for mccain, etc. It's a varying group. But theres definetly some nutjobs, several of which have radio/TV shows, who tend to scream these type of things in my experience. And those were the ones I was mainly referring to.

Oh, yeah I agree then. There are a lot of stupid repubs in the media. The only thing I disagree on is the healthcare thing. I legitimately think almost every single if not 99% of repubs oppose healthcareNot that, the **** Davy Crockett, cant even be fired without irradiating the soldiers in the blast radius. I used this as an example how small (and easy to smuggle) nukes can be.
As mentioned the radiation and health hazards from a small bomb would be meaningless to a suicidal bomber.
[QUOTE="dk00111"]As an Iranian, all I have to say is *facepalm*. I was really hoping that they would've been overthrown by now..taj7575
Don't worry...Hopefully it will happen soon...And in the hands of the Iranian people themselves..
I hope, but things aren't looking too bright. The last two protests failed, Mousavi and Karoubi both have showed recognition and support for the government, and the people there are starting to doubt whether or not they've gotten anything accomplished in the last 10 months. From what I've heard, small stuff like ripping pictures of Ahmadinijad and Khamenei off of banners in the streets and such are still happening, but as far as another major protest goes, the last opportunity they have is the anniversary of last year's election IMO.[QUOTE="taj7575"][QUOTE="dk00111"]As an Iranian, all I have to say is *facepalm*. I think instead of having another drawn out war, nuke them off the face of the Earth instead. Saves money and time.....tocool340
Because an unprovoked nuclear attack wouldn't have terrible consequences for the US and totally wouldn't make us the biggest villains in the world, above brutal dictators!

I was being sarcastic lol. I'm well aware of the consequences if they did something as stupid as that....:P On a serious note, just like North Korea, I don't think they should be taken seriously.....[QUOTE="zmbi_gmr"]
[QUOTE="Bluestorm-Kalas"]I think that if you American's end up gettingyourself nuked, you better not let it cross the northern border into Canada. I like my life, and I'm only 15 miles out of the border.Bluestorm-Kalas
so many things wrong with this post. how have we as American citizensprovoked a Nuke strike from any country, and how could we stop this tradgedy from reaching Canada if we are unfortunate enough to be struck in the first place? just cause our gov sticks it's nose into every other countries business doesn't mean that the citizens did something to provoke such a thing.
And every word is wrong with your post, I was clearly making a joke. Thus making your entire post moot. How about that? :|not that you'll see this new post since so many have posted in this topic, but seriously your original post did not come off as a joke. in fact it came off as being cruel. how about that? you see if you were making a joke maybe you would have had enough sense to throw in a little :P or even a , but no you did not. even a 8) would have sufficed. i try to be polite to all countries on this site since so many ppl hereare from different countries. maybe you should try that as well. i would never say ' hey you Canadians...put in any comment here...' it just comes off as being rude especially on a subject such as this. death is no joke. well at least i don't see it as a joke. i hope that America, nor one of it's neighboring countries, ever gets struck with something as serious as a nuke. maybe a zmbi_apocalypse, but not a nuclear bomb :P see what i did thar? now you know i'm trying to be funny
