we definitely are. No other country dictates what goes on around the world more than the US. Everyone knows who our leader is, but we could care less about who runs other countries. Why is this? do you think the United States of America is the center of the world?

I would argue that the Middle East as a region more dictates what goes on around the world, but that yes, the US is the center of the world as far as countries go.

The exact center of the world? No. The center of attention? Most of the time. But that isn't necesarrily a good thing. You americans should stop thinking so highly of yourself. America isn't the greatest place ever. Sure, you have some pretty neat places, but overall it's pretty shltty

You're totally right. A large precentage of Americans think way too highly of their country. In reality, it's not that great. It's not horrible, but I wouldn't call it a good country. We're just okay.

I think the UK needs a lot of work on freedom of speech. Not a shining example of what freedom of speech should be about.

Free speech? High taxes aren't a bad thing when your taxes aren't wasted like they are here in the US. I would much rather pay a higher tax rate and have something great come out of it, rather than paying a low tax rate just so my money can go to the benefit of a corrupt government.
