My biggest pet peeve is when I am trying to convince someone I am right and then they go ahead and systematically destroy my arguments piece by piece. It doesn't usually change my mind but it makes clinging to my preexisting set of ideals a lot more uncomfortable, at least for a little while...

I'm annoyed by people who constantly post pics to describe things. I do it occasionally, but some people here seem to think it will make them seem cool or popular.

I don't like feeling like I'm spamming smilies while at the same time feeling like I have to use smilies in order to let people know, beyond doubt, that I am not actually serious about the non-serious things I say.

But my biggest pet peeve is probably the haters. Or actually the people who are swayed into hatin' by the haters.

Also feeling like I can't say or do what I want for fear of being accused of being an attention-seeking girl. Just because I'm a girl.

And now a new added one - being made to feel totally paranoid in a community I thought was based on lulz.

This reminds me of a very good point I forgot about regarding emoticons.

Sometimes you have to use emoticons in order to avoid a moderation when telling a joke. That can get somewhat annoying.

I want to be able to belittle people if they deserve it, but I can't even do that unless I put in one of those emoticon things that are all the rage these days.

I like OT. It's a great distraction from work.
There are interesting folks, some interesting topics, and a decent amount of lulz.


If you post enough, then you're bound to rub at least a few the wrong way, yet hopefully one or two the right way.

It there's anything I come across in OT that I don't like, I head on over to a different thread.
If I were ambitious, I suppose that I could even create my own.

Do I over-use smilies? Am I just one of the annoying attention seeking girls? Am I one of the people who derails the threads because I reply to certain people who particularly crack me up? Am I not allowed to talk more to the people I've built up relationships via PMs or PSN or whatever? I dunno. *shrugs* Since this is the opportunity to apparently be honest, I really do dislike new users who come in here and start complaining about what people say and how things are. Sorry but there are certain things here that are somewhat established, but nobody is more important here, or has more right than others to be heard or dictate the way things are - especially newcomers. Several things actually annoy me on here, but I don't really want to point them out....It's not as if they agitate me to no end, they'll just make me roll my eyes from time to time. I try to be a passive person and just put up with it in silence :P

Exactly. It happens behind our/their backs. I wouldn't mind bringing it up here but that's exactly what happens when you try to censor everything and make it look like it's all dandy when there are actually some underling issues nobody wants to talk about in fear of getting in trouble.
