It is appreciated. Problem is mods might not like it much.cybrcatter
I wish we could have a thread that allowed us to air out all the dirty laundry...too be perfectly honest with people and about things here.
...we could make it to where you are only able to talk about people that gave their okay or something
You'll be known for eons as the guy whose 10k post party got200 users banned.

I'm liking this idea more and more every minute.Pssh. This is your chance to do it jsut once! Let it out and use the "roll" Smiley ;P
Dystopian-X
Hmmmm......The innuendos tend to make me "" the most, I think. It's not that I'm a dry person with no sense of humor, just after a point they seem forced to where I'm just like "really? :|".
I don't mind the RC thing as much, but that can also be slightly annoying when a massive conversation between two people takes up so many pages and isn't even relevant to the subject. Small doses of that is fine though.
Some users also seem to like to whore themselves for attention on here, and a girl that feeds off of that comes around every so often.
I think I'm most guilty of using excessive emoticons, especially ":P". I really am that lighthearted though, I can't help it!

Yaya, you did it! ^^
That was a good read. I usually don't mind the ":P" at all actually lol
And I agree with the RC part too. Not like we are drones or something just sometimes it's just too much.

GOOD, now I don't feel terrible for saying it :P
Thread derailing and innuendo is bad...
But what's worse is the atrocious spelling, it's at epidemic proportions.
Example: "My waste size is 32.":P:lol:
Hmmm My OT pet peeves are... Harassing certain users over and over, having a pic every (every is a bit of an exaggeration) post, and sucking up over and over to certain users. o.O :D I don't mind excessive emoticon use, since I use them so often. :P hehe
[QUOTE="rawsavon"]Do I over-use smilies? Am I just one of the annoying attention seeking girls? Am I one of the people who derails the threads because I reply to certain people who particularly crack me up? Am I not allowed to talk more to the people I've built up relationships via PMs or PSN or whatever? I dunno. *shrugs* Since this is the opportunity to apparently be honest, I really do dislike new users who come in here and start complaining about what people say and how things are. Sorry but there are certain things here that are somewhat established, but nobody is more important here, or has more right than others to be heard or dictate the way things are - especially newcomers. If you don't like it you don't have to join in the community. I has a sad. i' m sorry but this is a video game website and honestly nothing here should be taken seriously, you talk about new comers coming into gamespot like this place is hard to find or something, its a public website and people can come in these forums and give their opinions on how the site is whether they are new users or not or whether they like it or not and what certain things that are established that you are talking about? people come and go in these forums all the time, its not like the same users are here forever and new users are coming in, so i doubt anything is established....do tell :?
MissLibrarian
so i doubt anything is established. Chris_WilliamsOf course things are established :? This place is not different than anywhere else. People do leave and get replaced by newer/younger people. However, the traditions and norms are passed down (just like IRL). For example, someone enters the NFL...they get introduced to how things are run, how they need to act, and what is expected of them. There may be a lot of turnover within a team (many vets leaving, lots of rookies, free agents, trades, etc). But certain things will remain unless the the vast majority of the team is changed. It is the same thing here. There are certain expectations for how to act, what is acceptable, etc. There are always going to be 'rookies' that don't follow the unwritten rules (see Dez Bryan not carrying the shoulder pads), but there will also be vets to correct the situation/show how one is supposed to act. This place mirrors real life more than a lot of people think/are willing to admit. Just like any other place/organization, we have rules and norms in place both written and unwritten

Just like any other place/organization, we have rules and norms in place both written and unwritten sorry rawsavon, but this place does not in any way mirror real life, because at the end of the day the things i do on this site has absolutely no effect on me in my daily life and all this place is, is just a medium to talk to other people and meet people but all your reading is text, unless you guys get really close and probably live in the same place or skype or something but to say this mirrors rea life is just inconceivable. By that logic xbox live or psn mirrors and web chat mirrors real life, they do not, this place is just for fun and to past the time and yeah maybe form some relationships but again this forum in no way mirrors real life, i don't know about you, but i'm not on here that much to be able to even think that. and again what are these unwritten rules you speak of, i guess your going to judge my level that i'm a noob but in fact i been around here since 2005 and just created this account last year. i'm just saying this is nothing but a gaming forum and shouldn't be taken so seriously because in reality this doesn't mean anything, its just for fun

Provide an actual argument that approaches the subject on the same terms as was given next time. ;P

naw, i feel i stated my case fairly well, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not then, meh, don't really care, i'm just saying you guys take this place way to seriously sometimes and to say it mirrors real life is pretty weird, i mean right now your talking behind a computer thinking your being clever by retorting by changing what i said, i mean when people are anonymous then how does that mirror real life? have a good day[QUOTE="rawsavon"][QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]so i doubt anything is established. I would find it more odd if this place did not mirror real life, wouldn't you :? ...it would quite strange for this place to flow counter to how people spend their whole life acting...that would seem forced. Also, I never said anything about taking this place seriously/not being for fun.
People that post old pics in new pic threads, regurgitating material over and over again on demand / peer pressure / "look-at-me"-complexes.BiancaDKI guess I need new pics. :?

Last year it was Jonas Brothers/Miley Cyrus/Twilight threads. At least now all the hate is focused in just one kid!
Wonder what will the next year hold in store for us!

1) People that have certain vendetta's against users
2)Overusing emoticons
3)Condescending users that take advantage over their anonymity
4)Users that claim that famous women known for their attractive appearance are ugly but oogle over the average gamespot girl poster (not that most of you don't deserve the attention)
5)People and their cliques derailing threads
I am a hater, therefore I hate......so **** it !
