The justice system being right does not prevent people from doing stupid shit.  Zimmerman has already been convicted in the media/societal court

meh regardless of any circumstance it's more like guilty till proven guilty.. even if Zimmerman got a not guilty verdict (not taking sides what so ever) this trial has tainted his reputation forever even if gotten off scott free he would forever be shamed by mostly everyone not able to find a job and probably end up being killed due to racial tensions. either way he's screwed regardless and this is basically any court case in america especially very public ones.. even being associated with a crime even one you did not commit makes people uneasy.

Yes, unfortunately the decisions of the court do not extend to society, who seem to make their opinions off of what they hear from the media. Just look at OJ and Duke Lacrosse

again like i said. there is a size difference between the 2. i really dont see someone of martin size wrestling some like zimmerman to the groundThaneKrios28

Zimmerman put on a lot of weight for the trial, and was quite a bit skinnier when he fought Martin. Also those early pictures of Trayvon were from when he was 14 or something.

I think they were close to the same size at the fight. I think I heard somewhere that Trayvon was 6ft tall, I don't think Zimmerman is that tall.

There is a picture around where Trayvon is holding a handgun or smoking, he doesn't look that small in the picture.

I'm sure the actual investigators know both peoples' size. From pictures I have seen I think Trayvon could have easily taken down Zimmerman. Zimmerman seems kinda wimpy.

That goes back to my earlier post of how did Zimmerman get his injuries if he didn't get his a$s kicked?

Actually from what I looked up Zimmerman was around 5'7-5'8 and 185-195 pounds and Trayvon was 5'11 and 158 pounds.

Maybe, fighting knowing he had a gun on him was a disadvantage for Zimmerman in a hand-to-hand fight: Protecting the gun distracted him from giving him a chance to win the fight physically.

The person's demeanor also depends on it maybe Trayvon is mean and experienced in fighting, and Zimmerman is a born wimp--I really do not know either person.

didn't this all start with Zimmerman following trayvon or something when he was told by the police not to in the first place or some such? sorry for not following this case to much but just wondering because this seems like a pretty big thing.

The police dispatcher, whom I quoted earlier in this thread, stated on the stand and under oath, that they cannot order someone to not do something due to liability, they can only suggest. The dispatcher's words were, "you do not need to do that." That is a suggestion and not a command or order

Whats the law in Florida anyway. Could Zimmerman have brandished his weapon at Trayvon and made a citizen's arrest until the cops showed up? Thereby no physical violence or shot him in the leg.

I think I heard in part of the trial, not following it too closely, that Trayvon jumped Zimmerman from some bushes. They still had a conversation though before they fought.

No, you cannot just brandish your weapon to enact a citizen's arrest. Yes, Zimmerman has claimed that Martin jumped out of some bushes. Martin may have asked what Zimmerman was doing, but could have been swinging at the same time to get the upper hand over Zimmerman. That will never be known as no one saw the initial encounter minutes before Martin was shot.

^Supposedly, according to the trial Trayvon asked Zimmerman "Do you have a problem. Zimmerman said, "No." And Trayvon said, "You do now." This was after he came from the bushes.

strategyfn
I'm not surprised.....since Zimmerman told the dispatcher he lost sight....Martin must have been looking for him.

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="dave123321"] Stuff like this makes me worry about the time you will spend with us,

Ticking away the moments That make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hours In an off-hand way

Supposedly, according to Zimmerman, Trayvon asked Zimmerman "Do you have a problem. Zimmerman said, "No." And Trayvon said, "You do now." This was after he came from the bushes.

If that is the case, it shows that Martin was the aggressor and not Zimmerman and couple that with the injuries Zimmerman had, along with the testimony of the witness seeing Zimmerman underneath Martin and that Zimmerman shot in self defense.

They still had a conversation though before they fought.

how does one get the jump on someone from the bushes then have a conversation...

Sorry I meant Trayvon made an entrance from the bushes according to some of the trial. Then they exchanged words.

You have to remember that is George Zimmerman's account about their exchange of words, and he could be lieing.
