I resigned myself to dealing with Obama being the President. Not that McCain would've made me happy either.
I can't wait for all this new spending funded by a tax cut :? ...should be a great four years.

all we had for the past 8 years was new spending funded by tax cuts :|
[QUOTE="Decko5"]im scared at what my friends say everytime i ask my friends if they are registered to vote >_>

Well, what do they say?
They say, "When McCain gets elected you're gonna go to prison for *************** on your ex g/f!!!

Obama supports wiretapping (privacy), abortion (life, although this doesn't concern me but unborned babies), and gun control (right to bear arms).
1. Obama joined a filibuster that blocked Bush's version of the Patriot Act (Something Obama was against in the first place), which would have given up even more of our liberties.
2. The right to a choice in aborting a mass of cells is a libert in and of itself, and restricting that desicion which would relieve the stresses of unworthy parents is not at all anti liberty.
3. God, i feel like I'm in 1799. Gun rights? This is a voting issue? What a joke. the Constitution was penned in an era where there was no police or army corps, and it was every man for himself. The Second Amendment is outdated and is a joke.
Get your facts straight before you talk
Wow you really are ignorant.
There's also the problem of oversampling of Democrats in the polls. I'm confident in an 11th hour comeback for McCain. He'll take most of the states leaning to Obama in the polls, like Minnesota. mysterylobster
....Oversampling doesn't happen.. Its a scientific poll.. Even if there is some kind of oversample, you would not see it happen ine very scientific poll taken.

You do understand that Obama's tax plan will increase the revenue gotten from taxes not decreasing them? He is smartly taxing people, and even the 250K+ are seeing a minimal increase.. His main plan is to close the loop holes companies recieve.. Its a gross misrepresentation when people claim that corporations are taxed more here then any country.. 40% is high, except they really don't pay that.. They get numerous write offs and have a crack crew of lawyers that exploit every loop hole to significantly make it far less then what its suppose to be.
Aaaaaaaaannndddd BAM! now Joe Bidens president
Obamas going to have a lot of fun trying to keep from being the next assassinated president.
I personally dont care who becomes president, this countrys going down down down anyway for the next few years.
But I know theres a lot of people who wouldnt want to have a Black man as president, believe it or not, racism still exists.
Not to mention that hes of Muslim descent and is rumored to be a muslim himself.
Thats a double whammy, now imagine all the sad people out there who cant seem to remember that they can actually think with that thing in their heads called a brain, you know the people who belive every racial sterotype that exists.
Imagine what theyll do when this passes through their brains, "An African American Muslim for president".
Its not pretty.................
I'll dance when the last vote is counted... That, and go out and drink so much that my brain will shrink several sizes. (if you believe that blasphemous thread! :P) Steingrimur
Im with you!
Im not sure I want my brain to be really big in the future anyway, Idiocracy was a funny movie!
#1. some polls have McCain only 6 or so behind.
#2. If Obama wins, it will be a very dark day. He is surrounded by radicals and has a dem senate and congress. This means he will have nothing stopping him from creating the most socialist America there ever has been. It's also a foreign policy nightmare. he seems to care much more about appeasing other countries and making them like us than holding our status as the strongest country in the world. It will be a very dark day if he wins.

He blatantly lied about most small businesses making less than $250,000 a year. that wouldn't even pay employee wages and benefits for most small business employees. His tax fiasco will cause massive job loss. It's the same old class warfare and pandering dems have done for so long.[QUOTE="Zorn_Ate_Thorn"]We're screwed with either candidate.Communism isn't all that bad.

But I think McCain will screw it up less. Maybe the Reps can take back Congress if Obama wins... it'll create some equilibrium.
I agree. I'm not a big fan of the WealthSpread.

Yeah I cannot believe how many people on here agree with wealth redistribution. It is stupid. Not only that, but Obama is raising taxes on people making $250,000 a year. That's hardly what I consider "rich". Furthermore, he's not renewing Bush's tax cuts. So your taxes will go up.
His lead is 14% now.Rikusaki
Just out of sheer curiosity, who is voting in this poll? You? Anyone you know? No one I know's voting in it.

You're preaching to the choir, man. In a sick sort of way, I hope he gets elected. That way, he'll never have a chance for a second term. The American people saw the same weak rhetoric from Carter, and look what happened to him. He didn't get in office again. In fact, he deserves a bit of credit for helping one of the greatest American Presidents to get elected: Ronald "Badass Mother****in'" Reagan.
His lead is 14% now.Rikusaki
What poll are you looking at? The Gallup poll has Obama ahead by 9 points, and an average of all polls has Obama ahead 8 points. Not to mention, lets see where the polls are after the last debate. After that, then the picture will look a little more clear.
And also, people are getting too wrapped up in the polls.. Bush was down 11 points to Gore on October 4th, 2000. He came back and won the election. It's not an impossibility. And seeing how the last debate hasn't even happened yet, and the majority of Americans are independents, the polls can change.

the republicans brought this backlash upon themselves... in 10 years when the nation has had enough of democrats running things it'll swing back to the republicans... just the way it goes...

It's socialism. No reward for effort, no punishment for lack of effort. The American way is dying and the liberals are leading the way.

The democrats brought the economic crisis in through equal opportunity housing policies and convinced people like you it was the republicans faults. Research the ERA and 2004 hearings in which republicans tried to regulate the housing market, but got beaten back by dems defending Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac. Also, there has never been such liberal politicians as Harry Reid and Pelosi in power. Add Obama with his radical allies and you have a recipe for a true threat to the country. It's never been like this.

Yep. Honestly, that's the one thing I absoluetly hate the most about the liberal thinking. Gay marriage, abortion, death penalty, anti-war and all of that is just whatever. But the redistribution of wealth is something I absoluetly cannot stand. It's completely un-American.

That's why Obama is so dangerous. I don't agree with liberals' social policies, but I could deal with them. The true threat of Obama is a complete reconstruction of the American way domestically and in foreign relations. I'm truly afraid. I would never vote for a republican that posed this type of threat.

haha the funny thing is is that mccain is too blame for his failure, if he wasn't so rude and targetted obama he probably would have been neck and neck with "that one", but instead he chose to be a jerk and look where it got him....
Wow. What a big pile of crap that post is.
