Looks or personality: which is more important?

Which do you think is more important in looking for a partner of the opposite sex? I would have to go with personality but, granted, I do have to be attracted to her physically at least to some degree.

EDIT: Just to clarify, by "looks" I mean someone highly attractive but who has a decent personality at best, not necessarily someone with a highly unfavorable personality. Just as the "personality" category denotes someone with a wonderfully admirable personality yet decent-looking at best.

At my age, personallity (assuming she still looks at least decent). It doesn't matter how good looking she is if she makes me want to jump out a window. I melt much faster for a sweetheart that wants to take care of me than just a pretty face. :P

Looks can be modified overtime, that's what cosplay is for.

Looks, for a one night stand, personality, for a long term relationship.

Also, the first thing that catches the eye are looks, i didn't say good looks cause everyone has their own preferences.

Realistically its looks first then personality.

I am going to draw a tangent here and say the most important thing about a person is kindness. And no, that doesn't really fit inside the "personality" category. There are lots of people whose company is a total blast, but don't really have a sense of kindness and are basically self-centered pricks.

Usually if the girl has a great personality, it makes them more attractive (at least with some of the girls I liked).

About 60/65% personality for me. They have to be at least a 6 though, which to me is cute. Don't really want a 9 or 10 because they're high maintenance either monetarily or attention who**ing or whatever. They're used to getting attention and things from their looks and treated differently. Give me a 6 or 7 with a compatible personality to mine that likes sports like I do and nerdy things anyday.
