You know what they say about assumptions.

I would accept that the second my daughter turns 18 and leaves my home, I lose any legal right to tell her what to do. And that trying to boss her around in such a situation would be no different from going up to a stranger on the street and demanding he live under my rules.

Where exactly does this woman live? I'm assuming not in the middle east since if she did she'd probably of been publicly executed by now. If not in the middle east then, really, no Muslim gets to tell her how to behave if what she is doing is legal in that country then there is no issue.

Once your daughter leaves your house at adult hood, you have no right, legal or otherwise, to tell her what to do. And to disown her/not talk to her just shows a failure of a parent.

People threaten each other on the internet every day.

And as many have stated she should have known, instead of exposing her body to the world, she could have written a book or promote herself in other ways to get her message across. If anything this strikes me as her being stupid wanting to rebel (even comparing herself to Che Guevara (spelling?)).

Or, we could stop this irrational hatred of the entirety of the worlds 1.6 billion Muslim population, and instead focus on how we can stop radicalism of all kinds, including the very real problem of Radical Islam.

EDIT: And yes, I do realize that there are more Radical Muslims then in other religions, and they are more then willing to use violence to achieve their ends, but they are still minorities in the scheme of things.

I think you'll see my point is, why bring up racial slavery and the crusades in a topic about playboy if not to argue against the point being made about death threats? A better perspective would have been to point out the ignorance of Westerners and sensationalist views held re: Islam (which is true), but add that death threats are uncalled for. Unless the majority are radicals then I don't feel Islam does a good job for perpetuating such incidents. A few million out of a billion is a pretty poor precentage.

I don't have anything against muslims but even I won't swallow the pill that it is a Religion of peace. It has a bit too many radicals to really be called such, and other religions don't seem to have such problems. Paganism, Buddhism, etc are far closer to religions of peace.
