He's right. Fox and MSNBC encourage extreme partisanship but only Fox goes so far as to distort the truth and outright lie to their audience.

The president said they are destructive to America, that is a little ridiculous.Jakesta7I think they are destructive, along with MSNBC. I blame these two extremes for creating an extremely divisive political environment. The amount of rhetoric that people use when talking politics is ridiculous. You don't usually hear nuanced arguments from people anymore. If they see something they don't like, they say 'That's communism!!1!' without thinking about whether or not the statement makes any sense. I'd be ok with Fox if it was merely presenting a traditional Republican perspective on politics and news. From an outside looking in perspective, it just seems like they are going way beyond that with the language they use and the people they have hosting their talk shows. Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are fear mongers and, in my opinion, they don't belong on a news network.
This^^ Fox News speaks the truth, other news stations are too liberal to tell everything. And I guess that's why Fox News gets the top ratings over all the other news stations??? Ratings don't mean much if Fox appeals to the lowest common denominator.[QUOTE="Jakesta7"][QUOTE="p2250"]

I don't think any real fiscal conservative would want to be associated with Fox.
Fox's audience is all elderly people who are also more likely to watch tv than the rest of the population for their news. Therefore fox news has best ratings =/= fox news most used news source by all groups. Also the majority of the public supported slavery, that doesn't make it correct. To bring up ratings is a non-point.
Obama is a weak president that will hopefully not be reelected in 2012. The only news station questioning him critically is FOX news, and that makes him look bad. Trying to censor a news station and degrade the people that watch it is his last resort, which is very pathetic for a president to do. It reeks of communism.[QUOTE="p2250"]

While I don't think to that extreme of communism, but, I don't like how he just trash talk around instead of doing some honest real work. I can listen to all his complaints about everything, but, ultimately, people still can't get a job, insurance still gets more expensive. If he really solved those issues, I would just let his trash talking slide. But, I haven't see anything constructive yet, aside from redoing my cities sidewalk, which has nothing wrong with it to begin with.
I voted him becausehe knowsthe issues. But, sadly I haven't seen the issues being fixed. And I am not buying the "it takes time" argument.

I think that was the dumbest thing Obama could have done. All he did was just bring Fox News to his level and give them more viewers. .

You will note that my link also has CNN and basically every other network news near the bottom as well. I don't mean this in a challenging way but has the Pew Research Center tried this study again with stories from the past two years? I would be very interested in further reports. The reason I ask is that since that time we have had the rise of Glenn Beck and Fox's close relationship with the Tea Party movement. Fox has really changed since Obama's inauguration.EDIT: Sorry I didn't catch this earlier but I noticed the study only relates to the evening news block for Fox, not the many more popular shows it currently has.

the tax cuts for the rich is stupid. if it is such a big deal GIVE everyone tax cuts.
what happened is no one pays the same amount of tax that the other person pays.
if Obama or anypresident wants to make a change in the tax cose. they should force the IRS to start charging a 10% tax on income FOR ALL Americans not just one type of class. that way everyone pays a fair share of taxes. that way no one can cry and moan about how its is unfair that they pay more taxes then the other person.
also Obama has spent the amount of money in 2 years in office and took George Bush 8 years to do.
Obama is making our country to fall. with the heath bill going to take us in the more debit. he wants to pass the green eco bill that will force a lot of businesses to go out of business and home owners to lose more homes.
i still can not believe that people are still supporting Obama with all the facts right in there faces it just sad.
"care for the people that dont care"
Question: What do you think of Fox News? Do you think it's a good institution for America and for democracy?
Answer:
"Look, as president, I swore to uphold the Constitution, and part of that Constitution is a free press. We've got a tradition in this country of a press that oftentimes is opinionated. The golden age of an objective press was a pretty narrow span of time in our history. Before that, you had folks like Hearst who used their newspapers very intentionally to promote their viewpoints. I think Fox is part of that tradition — it is part of the tradition that has a very clear, undeniable point of view. It's a point of view that I disagree with. It's a point of view that I think is ultimately destructive for the long-term growth of a country that has a vibrant middle class and is competitive in the world. But as an economic enterprise, it's been wildly successful. And I suspect that if you ask Mr. Murdoch what his number-one concern is, it's that Fox is very successful."

People like Obama, Opera, Pope are very powerful and influential. When they speak, it is not just a simple personal opinion, it has very very large implication on how people thinks. With great power comes with great responsibility. magicalclickThe same holds true of Fox News pundits. That should be readily apparent by now.
of course he thinks it's "destructive". They are against his policies. I wish he'd stop being a cry baby. Bush didn't complain about time magazine shunning every little thing he did.
Haha... I should always read articles before commenting. I'm even more solidified in my view that he was right to say what he did. to bad that common sense can not be linked. also to bad stuff you hear from people can not be linked too.
and if you want to see prove read the health bill that was signed into law.
matter a fact read my blog on here it talks about the health bill.
the green eco bill
will force EVERY company that produces green house gases to have to BUY "carb" credits meaning that will be a big huge extra expense to every single company that owns tractors, trucking company, cement, companys. UPS, Fed-EX etc. also because if that bill passes it will force all oil companys to add more structures and make sure the oil to make gas for cars to be more less harmful. meaning gas prices go up double or even triple, thats why california prices are higher then the rest of the nation at $3 per gallon.
another thing that that bill will force is ALL home owners to buy green friendly appliances. washer, dryers, water heaters, dish washers etc. if not they will never be able to sell there home and will be fined. they way this will work is a government junkie will be sent to the home and will go through the home and give them a rating to see if they pass or not. if not they will fail the test and will have to correct the problem. its like the DMV do with smog checks. if you fail you have this amount of time to fix the problem.
so tell me how does can anyone buy whole new gree friendly appliaces in this economy? let alone green eno friendly products cost amr and leg to buy?
all that is also in the bill that obama is trying to pass look it up.
thats my prove

What really angers me is, the health care, I paid, and I get none. I have being discriminated by the government and rejected by health care application. Simply because the private company did not reject me.
What is worse. My friend who is nearly broke with large debt on his hand......... is still not eligible to the health care because the private company did not deny him, they just charge him 600+ aMONTH cuz he is older.
And I seriosuly don't consider myself making enough money to be independent, 40k a year. I still need to live with my parents with my current pay check. California rental is too expensive. And 1/4 of my pay chack is gone before I can use it. My bro is about 70K and 1/2 of check is gone. I mean, Canada is flat 40%, which is less than my bro's 50%.After all that, we get no health care.
I am just not sure what's going on.
What? The vast majority of the law doesn't go into effect until 2014.
