I'm not an American but this has surely got to be one of the strangest elections in years. Everyone predicts that Obama will pull ahead by miles but I think this election will be closer than anyone else has predicted. When a poll shows 10% are undecided it's more indicative that they just don't want to tell the pollsters who they are voting for.

Watching SNL's Presidential Bash, and just wondered.

Whatever happened to Obama Girl?

vidplayer8

She was too busy to voter for Obama in the primary, reflecting what's going to happen on a larger scale tomorrow morning.

Useless random factoid: there are two tiny villages in New Hampshire known as Dixville Notch and Hart's Location that traditionally cast their ballots at midnight Eastern. So by my count they're voting as we speak.

They'll be our first results for the election, despite their being basically useless for anything other than amusement. :P

That would be interesting if it weren't for the fact that some people think that 1/3 of Americans have already voted.

Yeah, but those just get included in with all the other numbers, whereas these are actual results. :P

For reference, these are both actually sizable swings to the Democrat from 2004; in that year Dixville Notch voted 19-7 for Bush and Hart's Location voted 16-14 for Bush.

Don't read too much into this, though. :P The last time Dixville Notch voted for a Democrat was 1968, and Hubert Humphrey (the Democrat) did not win that election.

HarlockJC

i'm really nervous about the results.

In fact, tomorrow is media blackout day for me.

But, it will probably fail. I live at college and guess what everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

No, good guess, but not my 6eness.

Well... the polls have opened at 5:00am in New Hampshire at this point. I voted for Obama on Saturday...

This all sort of feels like Christmas. Except 50% of the country is going to get four years of coal and the other half are going to get something nice.

geez, took long enough for an election sticky.. ;)

cast my vote already this morning. It was a write in for president, so I get to criticize no matter who wins. I voted republican in all other instances for balance reasons in Washington, considering Obama is more than likely going to run away with the election.

In regards to the Palin 2012 stuff, there have been people who lost one general election, to go ahead and win another election, such as Nixon. There have been people who failed to secure their party's nomination, only to win it and presidency another election, such as Regan. However, has there ever been example where person went from being unsuccessful VP nominee, to President?

D: But, that's when I'm gaming. Stupid election. I like to watch the percentages go up and down, though. Good times. I guess the polls on the West Coast have to close before they can even get seriously down to business.

The problem with that is that it's almost a wasted vote. The first time Bush ran I was 18 and voted 3rd party. Than after seeing how close of vote was, I have not voted 3rd party again. I live in Florida so it has been tight year the last two times and I am sure it will be again.

Last two elections i voted Gore and Kerry. Obama is the proudest I've ever been to vote. Kerry was a vote against bush and thinking back it was a poor reason TO vote. This time its different. Its probably the way people felt when they voted for Clinton.

There are many that believe that Nader was one of the reasons why Bush won. He had a big enough number of votes in Florida to change who one. I forget the name of the third party guy I voted for he was a libertarian. I just did not want to vote for either al gore or Bush to win.

I was wrong too Dole and Clinton ran when I was 18. In my old age my memory starts to go.:P So I am 4 year your senior, so you must respect me.

Depends on whether or not you like the first game.

Yeah Kerry....i just really hated Bush ya know? I realized this election its not enough to vote against the other guy. You've got to be voting FOR your guy from the heart and the head. Thats the major flaw to me about the McCain voters. They just really hate Obama but they really don't like their own guy. Its Kerry all over again.

You would be right about the McCain voters our problem is with Obama plan for the US. I really dislike his tax plan and think that it would hurt the US more than anything. Also by not keeping Bush's tax plan my taxes are going to be going up by around $2,500 a year. I am really worried that I might have a hard time with that.

Then again that is why many conservatives are really happy with the pick of Palin.

I never played the first game. I just saw the second at Kmart for $10 and picked it. It was more of for a Metal Gear game it was worth the $10 risk.

You've got some valid reasons for your vote. I don't think anyone can really be wrong as long as they can give some valid reasons for their vote. MGA is a love or hate affair. Its kind of like a strategy game mixed with some RPG elements and all the moves are made via cards and on top of that the over the top stuff we love so much about metal gear. I personally think its perfect for Metal gear on the go. I found portable ops to be too tough to play outside especially with the slow pacing of stealth titles. Plus with the loss of so many features it was a gimped MG game for sure.

Whew! It took me an hour and a half to vote. I wished I brought a book. I missed my coffee.
