That depends. Many children are that way because of poor parenting and schooling.. And you really can't hold the child responsible for that. Not to mention we live in a nation in which the junk food is cheaper than the healthy food.

Parents do play a major role, but all children grow up. And can you really tell me that as a child you had no idea whether or not you were chubby? I was kind of chubby in early middle school, and I realized it and became thin. So while I agree that parents should take a healthy role in their child's health, most (psychologically) healthy, functioning human beings can rationally decide to be healthy.
Kind of chubby? Is that suppose to make me think your a expert in the field? Because it certainly doesn't.. Furthermorea persons obesity can be a sign of depression for instance and other such things.. If it was as simple of a problem your stating it, there wouldn't be a epedemic, and there is..
Wrong. If it were a complex epidemic, it would be as big of a problem in other countries. It's not. It is a problem of sedatary lifestyles combined with over consumption. Pretty simple. There are exceptions to that rule, but not everyone can be an exception, by definition in fact;).
And yes, being kind of chubby in my past does give me some knowledge on what I am talking about. Why? So very glad you asked. Because I noticed I was getting chubby, and took measures to get back into shape. That's what a normal person should do. You see yourself getting obese, and you solve the problem before it's out of control.
