I feel like Sherrod Brown running for re-election would throw a wrench into that plan though. That might be a tricky dynamic having both of them on the ballot.

But yeah hopefully the party realizes that they need to address their minority problem. Then hopefully Jeb Bush will become the nominee in 2016 (pending Obamination next week) and balance will be restored to the force and we can all forget about that whole tea bagging thing forever.

aTrue story. I think the tea bagging dies with the recession. Jeb Bush or Huntsman could work. Latter won't get through primary, though.

I'm much bigger on Bush than Huntsman. I could even see myself voting for him if he got the nomination (although I could probably have said the same thing about Romney 10 years ago).

What issues have you with Huntsman? Just curious.

Romney got stuck b/c he was gov. Massachusetts and then ran for president during Tea time just following a national implementation of his health care plan. That is not how to politics.

[QUOTE="Laihendi"][QUOTE="RushKing"][QUOTE="Laihendi"] How is direct democracy minimized authority? What is there to stop the majority from doing whatever they want? How is giving the majority in any given situation unrestrained power breaking authority into "the smallest pieces, minimized in size"?

The majority are made up of individuals. If the majority disagrees with you on one issue, it does not mean everyone who agrees with said issue disagrees with you on every other issue. In direct democracy each individual has the same amount of power, so authority is broken up into the smallest pieces.

And what happens when one group of people vote the rights or life away from someone else?

What do you mean by one group of people? What scale? There is always a chance you may be attacked by a group of thugs. I'm sure over 50% of this country believe in the right to live.

This is pointless so I'm going to stop talking to you.

Don't know that much about Jeb Bush (embarrasing I know), but I really like his position on immigration. Speaking of which, immigration is probably the biggest reason I originally was a huge fan of Rick Perry. I have little doubt that he would have locked up the nomination had he not flopped in the debates and might have gladly voted for him (I say "might" because I supported him before my Keynesian "come to Jesus" moment)

Not really a fan of Perry, but the immigration thing is very important. His other stuff is where he lost me.

Pointless? If the justice department found your dead body, do you think they wouldn't investigate and give the group a good public trial and ass whooping?

quick call fox news so they can report this poll as a neck and neck race to the finish that is too close to call.
