I'm going to use the old cliche of "an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind". Justice systems shouldn't be about seeking personal revenge. Sure, killing him might offer some relief to the families, but after that, what does it actually achieve?

Teach others not to do it and make him stop.

What that man did is obviously wrong, but if people want to behead and then crucify him, they are not much better than the convict.

Haha...of course. You know what really "shows how back we are as a civilization"? The fact that a group of people, namely Europeans and Americans, still think they know what civilized is and that all people must adhere to their ideals, must conform to the way they do things, must adopt their definition of right and wrong, humane and inhumane so on and so on. Century after century this same arrogance and pride leads to wars and bloodshed. These people still think they are better than everyone else, if not for being white than for being American. I laugh only because I know it will never change, a lot of people (including myself) will always be blind for everything has a depth to deep to explore. I am iffy on the Justice System of all Arab countries because I know they are all corrupt, but I understand that there is a lot of good too because I know something about Islamic Justice and why it is what it is and I understand also that its hard to construct a perfect Islamic Justice system because human judgement is involved. What I am trying to say is that the issue of Islamic Justice is a deep and difficult issue to fully comprehend and implement. It doesnt excuse the inadequate implementations that break even the most basic commands of God, but its somewhat understandable when we look at all the conflicts involved. It is as complicated if not more complicated than the American Justice system.

I understand what you are saying, but it as they say "you get what you deserve". A simple lock in the jail (even if its for life) is a far too leniant punishment for something that has affected another parents life, yet alone scarring the kid for life. Saudi Arabia use the Shariah law, and even though it has been edited by the higher monarchy and kings which makes it a bit more of a harsh country, this person deserves what he gets. Saudi Arabia is known to have the lowest crime rate because 80-90% of people living there would think twice before commiting a crime. They are all human and what not but that doesnt stop them from screwing up other peoples lives or ending another persons life. If they take another persons life, their own life should be taken too with shame. Thats my honest oppinion.

I respect that and actually agree with some of what you say.

They're really doing the guy a favor. Ifan adult is getting boners for toddlers & pre-teens... hehas aproblems. The kind of problem that society can't fix & refuses to repair. I wouldn't kill him for some sort of desire to kill whatever pisses me off. I would just kill him because it would be the easiest way. Like picking a prisoner in the bush. Nobody wants to drag him along. Just pop him and leave him behind.
