I honestly don't care if the ebay thing was legit: It sonded off when compared to the job she wants to be appointed to. She needs to establish credibility with an audience, and I don't think it was a great thing to say. It just sounded unprofessional.

And yes, it was supossed to fire up republicans, but in the DNC, there wasn't nearly as much bashing, and they were fired up. It's kind of a cop out, considering both sides are far from perfect. I wanted to see them come up with a more creative or clever way to get them pumped.

This only adds fuel to the fire on how Obama fanatics know nothing of either candidates policies or accomplishments.

Very few Obama supporters have been able to tell me what Obama believes. Most go "McSAME" or "Bush the 3rd" or "McOld" or something like that.

So yeah, a lot of Obama supporters are childish. I know nocoolnamejim is an Obama supporter, and he can support Obama with rational arguments and more than just attacking McCain. I have no problem with supporters like him, they have my respect. I especially like the quote in his sig. "We can disagree without being disagreeable."

Unfortunately a lot of Obama supporters can't follow that quote and only seek to attack Republicans at every opportunity.

I find it funny how suddenly every post on GS is "Base-Less" and "Unknowledgable". Can you prove to me I'm a child? You're using Syllogism, a common argument trait you want to stray from. Here is your argument:

Well, all people who like Obama are Children, and He likes Obama, so, ergo, he is a child!

I just can't believe how you couldn't comprehend her speech. She said she sold her Governer Private Plane on eBay to save taxpayers from paying for useless things. She rather take a public plane. You just hear "eBay" and say "WTF!? eBay!?!?!?". She said it to get to her message. She's all for the people. Bringing taxes down. Obama will tax businesses, and that increase will hit America.

nah, the jet she sold was the former gov's jet. Mr. Murkowski's office tried to obtain money from the Homeland Security Department to buy the jet, saying it would help "defend, deter or defeat opposition forces." He was denied. Later, in 2005, against the wishes of the Legislature, Mr. Murkowski used state money to buy it for $2.7 million.

After she beat him to become gov, she sold that **** on ebay because the guy was corrupt and she didn't want anything to do with it.

I honestly don't care if the ebay thing was legit: It sonded off when compared to the job she wants to be appointed to. She needs to establish credibility with an audience, and I don't think it was a great thing to say. It just sounded unprofessional.

Her speech was pretty easy to comprehend: The ebay line didn't fit, that's all. I had already known about the plane prior and, to be honest, didn't really care. It didn't belong. I don't really want to copy anything I've already posted, and I'm going to bed anyway, so just look up a page or so.

Maybe it didn't belong, but she wanted to get her life story out. It certainly didn't hurt her.

Her speech sucked. She was a lightweight: No substance. A hypocrite in every fashion. Nothing but mindless "Small Town" speak and an unprofessional attitude towards all of her topics (She said things about Ebay, wtf? They don't belong in a VP candidate speech!)

Giuliani was unbearably disrespectful. Obama hasn't dissed McCain's policies in a fashion like that (or really any of the speakers at the DNC). It was unprofessional and was only there to fire up the republicans.

The speech was great for appealing to the base. She took some jabs at Obama and it was a great speech for what Republicans needed. The speech isn't what's ultimately important people. The issues are!

I think Republicans had the best convention. Day 1, help victims of Gustav. Day 2, get things fired up and started. Day 3, really get things fired up, have amazing speeches by many figures, both political, and business, talking about the economy, and other matters. I hope McCain does well on his speech. I know he's not the best one to give a speech in front of many people, so we'll see how he does.

Come on guys, let the libs tear up the speeches all they want. Atleast McCain and Palin have actually done stuff instead of just talk about change.GetEnTheKitchen
