Ok I've came up with a great definition of her speech:

"McCain supporters will love it. Obama supporters will hate it. The undecided won't be swayed."

because it wasn't aimed at any of us. It was aimed at those who were uneasy about her as the GOP VP choice. I personally think that it won't really change anything, though.

[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"]before I go I must say the whole speech was comical and she did not prove why she would be a good V.P. Nothing but insults and her husband love for snow. Tjeremiah1988

Someone's got their panties in a bunch....

She talked greatly about her accomplishments and the Obama's lack thereof.

ok but how can people say this speech was terrific? She talked about ebay, snow, jets, and lipstick! She really didnt show anyone that she would make a good VP. It was a "meh" speech. Both speeches tonight brought unnecessary insults directed to Obama, democrats, and the democratic party.

She talked for 2 seconds about ebay snow jets and lipstick.. they were each 1 sentence in a 40 minute speech. Cherry picking like that is completely stupid. She showed tons on what would make a good VP.. she talked about issues if you made it past the 15 minute mark, if you attention span allows for you to watch something for that long.

And it wasn't really insulting THEM as people.. it was their policies, experience, etc...

By the way, did you know that obama used to do cocaine?

Wow. You act as if she rambled off about these things. Ebay/Jet were one sentence. The hockey mom/pitbull/lipstick thing was meant to be a joke and was one sentence. This is out of a WHOLE SPEECH. And snow? Please, tell me when she talked about snow?

You're desperate attacks to bring down her speech are laughable. They truely are.

People went into this speech wanting to know who Sarah Palin was, both in terms of her policies and personality-wise. She showed her sense of humor and her conservative convictions. I'm sorry, was Palin too "Anti-Obama" for you? You realize this is a presidential race, right? I don't want a president I can feel sorry for. I want a president I can respect.

Obama being Democrat means nothing. He has repeatedly explained how and why he will change politics as usual in Washington. That means he will change what Bush and the Democratic Congress has done. Relating Obama and the Democratic Congress won't stick.

Now on the other hand McCain agreeing with Bush 90% of the time is actually a bad thing.

People, please understand both candidates policies and issues! Don't go by just what you see or har on TV or in adds. Research and think for yourselves.

Fred Thompson's amazing speech yesterday (Leiberman's was more low key), Huckabee, Romney, and Guliani, along with Palin today. Wow, what a convention. Amazing speeches.

It's Obama's policies and shady past that are making me not vote for him. From the research I've done on him, I've come to the conclusion that he has a hidden socialist agenda.

Obama supporters should stop bashing her for these trivial reasons. We should focus on her and McCain's policies and issues. Something I definitely do no agree with in comparison to Obama Biden's.

And it was a perfrect pick for VP. It brought what McCain lacked. And it brought excitment to a rather boring campaign. You're so politically naive its funny.

no what she did was get rid of McCains experience weapon against obama

Not completely. First of all, Palin is running for Vice President. Obama is running for PRESIDENT. There is a difference.

Not to mention, Palin has been in politics longer, and on top of that, has more EXECUTIVE experience than Obama. Obama has ZERO.

So Palin has more experience, more executive experience, and is not running for PRESIDENT.

I think the VP choice was great. It sure has all the Obama worshipers here trying all they can do bash her. "She talked about snow, lipstick, jets and ebay.. what the hell????" If that's the best they can come up with..............

This ticket is starting to get to the dems...

How did SHE reduce McCAIN's experience? They're two different people.... But I know what your getting at and had you watched her speech you would've learned that she has experience unique to Obama.

she didnt reduce his, mccain has been criticizing the dems for having no experience then he pick plain with no experience.

His main campaign tactic is gone

Someone's got their panties in a bunch....

She talked greatly about her accomplishments and the Obama's lack thereof.

Oh the irony of your statement. ignorance is in full abundance in your posts.

Palin: 2 terms on City counci, and as mayor ofWasilla, Alaska pop. 6,000 My city of Gurnee has more people.

20 mths experience as a governor

Laughed at a person with cancer http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/31/palin-laughs-as-opponent_n_122776.html

International Experience: Uhh, Alaska is close to Russia. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/greg-mitchell/cindy-mccain-on-abc-today_b_122759.html

Pregnant 17 year old daughter, (unwed)

Are these the values we wish to instill in our children?

Chargeagles1

Palin was the governor most recently.. and has an 80% approval rating, the highest in the nation.

And are you seriously using huffington post as a source? That's one of the most liberal places you can go.

Her pregnant daughter has nothing to do with her as a mother or her as a vice president for that matter.. it's basically pointless to even bring it up.

By the way, Obama used to do cocaine. Is that a value we would like to instill in our children?

Obama being Democrat means nothing. He has repeatedly explained how and why he will change politics as usual in Washington. That means he will change what Bush and the Democratic Congress has done. Relating Obama and the Democratic Congress won't stick.

Now on the other hand McCain agreeing with Bush 90% of the time is actually a bad thing.

People, please understand both candidates policies and issues! Don't go by just what you see or har on TV or in adds. Research and think for yourselves.

JohnMcCain.com and BarackObama.com

trix5817

It's Obama's policies and shady past that are making me not vote for him. From the research I've done on him, I've come to the conclusion that he has ahidden socialist agenda.

That's just speculation. Shady past? That surely is not an issue and has nothing to do with him as President. Just additional smears to avoid you from focusing on what's important - Policies and Issues.

Just like the media criticizing Palin for her pregnant daughter and alleged misuse of power - Smears that mean nothing in the end.

For the state that America is in Obama's policies are best for the country in comparison to McCain's. Have you honestly researched both candidates pros and cons thoroughly? Each candidate has pros and cons, but Obama's positives outweigh his negatives.

yea especially when mccain is on the ticket

Obama flips more then McCain. You're in self denial if you don't think that's true. So long as Obama is running, I would vote McCain just so he doesn't get votes to screw up our country.

:lol::lol::lol:

McCain will screw up the country he is bushes 3rd term

Democrats have lost the election  they got no counter against the Republicans except "Bush the 3rd!" ok

im sorry not 100% bush but 90% bush I apologize

And Obama is 97% Democrat. The same Democrats who have 8% approval rating in Congress, worst than the President. Possibly the worst Congress in American history.

agin 50% of that congress is republican and Bush vetos everything democratic

Sure, the same Democrats who vote themselves another 3 week vacation after they just returned from one. Who pays for the vacations? Oh, uh, American taxpayers.

You got owned. Bush has taken eight hundred and seventy nine days off. ( probably more since the article is a few months old. What do you have to say about that.

No, he really wasn't that great. The economy was doing well in spite of clinton.. not because of him.

Not to mention, he had so much controversey and corruption it's not even funny. He did a lot more than smoke weed and have an affair.

80% approval rating in a state with 683,000 people. Hmmm Illinois has 12,852,548 people. APPROXIMATELY 18.82 TIMES MORE PEOPLE. and u wonder why she has a higher approval rating. huffington post is a legitimate source, as they do not fabricate news. BTW shouldn't u be watching the O'reilly factor or sean hannity right now. How does her having a pregnant daughter at age 17 have nothing to do with her parenting? are u delusional because teenage pregnancy is not regarded as an achievement. yes Obama has taken cocaine, but he has stopped a long time ago, and he WASN'T AFRAID TO DISCLOSE THAT TO THE PUBLIC UNLIKE SOMEBODY NAMED PALIN (cough cough, i can't remember whether that is my child or my daughters).
