Return of the depressing thread: Share your life problems!

Hey everyone. Some of you may or may not remember a similar thread I made a year ago. If not, then it was basically a giant rant box that allowed everyone in the OT community to complain about their lives. Sounds jolly doesn't it?... Well to add more excitement this time, why not make it a game!

Rate above user's life problem out of 10 in terms of how much it sucks (0 = that doesn't suck at all. 10 = holy cow it sucks to be you) and then post your own depressing story. Also, feel free to give suggestions to help a member solve their problems. If there's anything good that comes out of this, I guess it would be that everyone would understand each other better. :)

I'll start...

During the other depressing thread, I explained how I was worried that I might not make it to university, and that it would really disappoint my mom.. Gladly, I eventually got accepted to the University of Toronto and that made her really happy! However, now the problem is trying to STAY in university and not get kicked out. Unfortunately my first year isn't looking too good since I've been struggled in every exam so far...

Oh lord, OT doesn't want or need to hear about all of my lame problems, and I don't want to pour my heart out to a gaming board, so I'll keep it pretty vague... Basically, I'm just really stressed out about everything and I feel like I'm constantly being pulled in opposite directions. I never know what to do. I know what I probably should be doing, but I'm not always doing those things. Most of my problems are self-inflicted or brought upon myself, but not all of them are, and oddly enough I have a harder time dealing with the self-inflicted problems...probably because I do have the power to change those but often I don't make any efforts to.

Well, there's been nothing more depressing than not being able to go outside all weekend. :(

I am very, veryfat and very, very ugly. I also can't quit smoking, and may have to drop out of school because of money problems. Beyond that, life is okay.

i don't know which direction to take with my life. and i need to boost my grades before graduation. and school, SUCKS. all my close friends now feel extremely distant, and i find myself asking if they were ever my real friends to begin with. i haven't been to the gym in a while. :lol:

i'm writing a paper for shakespeare discussing the culturalcontext that can be seen in Act II, Scene 3 of Romeo and Juliet. it has to be 8-12 pages long and 10 sources. where i'm at, its almost 4 am and its due monday...on top of that, I also have to act out the scene with a group on monday so I have to have my lines memorized and a costume lined up. needless to say, it sucks. the only good thing will that monday night will be sleep early night and an 11 am class to go to on Tuesday so I think I can handle it. in any case, that's my depressing post for this thread.

LOL, I had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I pulled off te essay in about 3 hours(got 100%) and faked stage fright to get out of the acting. I can gag myself with my tounge, so I made myself vomit onto the floor in front of the class. he gave me a C- for the act lol.

I don't know what to do with the bodies...

I can't get motivated to do anything (at all) and I have something called SAD, which is winter depression. I also really need to see my best friend, who I haven't seen in over a year :( Other than that, things are okay

my dad was on drugs for most of my life so he always ignored me and yelled at my family a lot... ah well

I'm over 20 grand in debt with student loans, but hopefully I will graduate next year and find a job, even though I freakin hate my major

I now have a slight drinking problem

I have had had little to no motivation for achievement since my girlfriend of two years broke up with me on Christmas night, telling me that "she was never physically attracted to me"

but, I guess everyone has crap to complain about... and I know for a fact MANY people have it a freakin ton worse than I do...

The brakes on my Jeep went out and I'm lonely as hell.

I broke up with Hero over a month ago but still miss him a lot - I miss how well we got along, how I could just rant away and he knew how to take me, I miss cuddles and feeling loved. Now I'm desperate to meet new people but I don't know really where to find attractive, intelligent lads that I can get along with and I'm starting to wonder whether I'll ever find anyone as good as Hero again.

My job ends in a few weeks and I don't know whether I'll be able to find another one.

My brother's druggie mates have harassed us, threatened us and damaged the house and wall outside. My brother is still stealing off me whenever he can. My mum spends most of her time arguing with me so my family life is pretty ****

My exams are stressing me out, my ex-girlfriend is mad at me for some unknown reason, this girl I like in college doesn't seem to be interested in being more than friends (I could be wrong though).

Nothing that seems impossible to resolve, honestly. I'm a good student, so exams should go well. If it doesn't get anywhere with my current crush, eh, there are other girls, I'll get over it. As for my ex-girlfriend... I've stopped caring, really. We really wanted to stay friends, but she's not putting any effort in this, so she can go to hell.

My finals are coming up. I'm graduating next spring and I still don't know the direction I'm heading. I have conflicting ideas of what I want in life.

I got suspended from college for 2 weeks for breaking a guy's hand and he is planning on suing me and my family if I dont pay his medical expenses.I also broke my N95's display and I dont have money to fix it. My internals are after 5 days and I havent studied anything.conistant

I say just wait it out. High school is divided into impermeable cliques so it's very easy to get the feeling you won't ever get any friends. That's not true, people grow up eventually and they don't mind looks as much as they used to. Don't let it bring you down.

Ive been actively job searching for 2 months. I owe my parents $300. Im a month behind on rent. Im $3,000 in credit card debt. And both my cars are on the verge of breaking down.

Well there are parts i'm not going to go into on a forum.. but on a more general note i need a job which i am having trouble finding, i screwed up school again (fell behind, just generally didnt put effort in and i am feeling the strain of it now), i lack any motivation to even try to solve anything and i really dont have any set life plan.. i have goals but i am just letting everything slip through my fingers. Fun times.

Edit - forgot to rate the one above: I would say 6/10, because feeling uncertain about your future can be a bit debilitating, but at least it's something that you can do something about (I would rate my problem the same way).

I made a questionable career move in May, giving up a pretty good job that I loved,so that my wife could take a position she wished to pursue in a different city.

I now find the job I have incredibly unsatisfying, and to boot, she doesn't like the job that we moved for in the first place.

And the worst part is that while we are generally good at communicating with each other, the few times I've brough thisup, she's dismissive saying that it was my decision, too.

ugh.

I graduate from High School next year and its scares me, I turn 19 this year and still have no job and have no idea what I want to do with my life, I'm behind in my grades, I cannot find a job since I'm in school no one wants to hire me, no motivation, I rarely ever get to talk to my best friend anymore, money problems, me and mom usually fight everyday, depression issues, low self esteem, and it all stinks :P
