Anybody could have told you this. There is no logic in being anti-gay or racist at all and it is almost always linked to religious beliefs. This is why I have an incredibly hard time respecting the intelligence of the religious because they are so blind to their own beliefs that they refuse to think for themselves and as a result have their religion think for them. They hide behind the bible and god as reasons for not wanting gay-marriage, they hide behind the bible and god when they are presented scientifical evidence that contradicts their beliefs, they hide behind the bible and god when something bad happens in their lives, do you see the pattern? These are weak minded people who are unwilling to think for themselves. Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people who want to believe in god, they are free to believe whatever they want, but it's the people who try and present evidence for their god, the people who tell you that you are going to burn for an enternity simply because you don't believe what they beleive, the people who are so f***cking far gone on the intelligence scale that it's not even worth trying anymore with them, those are the people I have a problem with. It just so happens that most of these people cling to the political side that conforms with their beliefs the most. The study is accurate and it's not the first study to say the same thing and is far from liberal "propaganda" RealzAtheist

Here I found a study that says the opposite, it says liberals have low IQ's and are bad at reserach, it's also related to the topic.

No, that was not me saying that the study findings are true, it was me saying that the arguments that some people are using to prove them wrong are f*cking hilarious and yet painful to read at the same time. Firstly, the article/study never claims that all left-wingers are more intelligent than all right-wingers, so it's pretty damn meaningless to say "I have met more stupid liberals than stupid conservatives" or whatever, and trying to attack it in that manner is a good sign that someone doesn't understand statistical analyses at all. Which is also a pretty ironic way of trying to prove that your side is not dumber than the other one. :roll:

The bias argument also holds very little weight, considering that the Daily Mail leans conservative and the study came from one of the world's most reputed psychological journals. Even if the Daily Mail were communist propaganda and Psychological Science considered trash it would still be fallacious to say that their findings must be false because they are "biased". In any case, there's no need for people to get worked up all over such studies, since as I said they do not necessarily imply negative things about ALL conservatives, regardless of how much the so-called "elitist left-wing" may attempt to twist their conclusions.
