Both things can mess with someones mind. A cat is a loved creature. When you lose your cat, it really hurts. But getting sexually assaulted is absolutely horrible. People apparently think that getting raped isn't as bad as the death of a cat though.. :roll:

Quite a lot of people are against hunting too. I personally wished they got far more than 5 years, but I don't dictate the legal system.

hunting isn't just for fun, and shooting an animal is a lot more humane than microwaving it. do you fail to see that difference? you get meat from animals, and it helps control populations.

You think anyone who harms an animal should be locked up and have the key thrown away. Yet you yourself eat animals, use animal products and probably contribute to animal cruelty in battery farming because I can almost bet you don't check where every bit of meat you eat comes from do you?

Half of your everyday products have also probably been tested on animals and yet you beleive any harm given to an animal should be locked up and have they key thrown away.

Because there's nothing to respond too. Just because something else horrible happens does not mean any other tragedy is negated. Some people can feel more empathy for another creature other than a human because humans are never really innocent. We are all fully conscience of our actions to others. Humans treat other humans badly, no one is exempt from this. But a creature like a cat has never consciencely and with intent hurt another.

i would rather an animal died than a human and products have to be tested chemically before tested on animals. How would you get someone to alow tests on them? You may end up with untested products being allowed on the market.

Most shops in the UK say if their food is battery farmed, shops like the coop don't even stock them

Same. My girlfriends tried to make me go vegitarian and I lasted about a week. My diet is based too much around meat for me to go. I also just don't think theres much of a point in it. Just because I or even my group of friends, hell my entire year went vegitarian my local super market wouldn't change it's order of meat.

The same amount would die, and I don't care what vegitarians say about statistics about it being healthily what they don't include is that most vegitarians don't smoke, drink and exercise regulaly. Unlike alot of meat eaters.

So it doesn't appeal to me, I respect those that do though, as long as they have decent reasons. As soon as they try to convert me then they can just GTFO though.

There's no place in civilized society for this sort of barbarism, but in the interest of applying some Old Testament justice (eye for an eye), I'd give them 3 choices:

1. Public flogging and then 10 years in prison (daily a$$ raping included).
2. Having a hand cut off at the wrist.
3. Being put in a man-size microwave on high for 10 minutes.

Prison, here they come.

If/When they get sent to prison, they might not come out alive, and then that would be a controversial issue being shoved into the courts face about why they'd sentence teens to an adult prison. Pysocological evaluations/help should be the remedy
