I'm wondering what happened to the Chick-Fil-A thread. Did Gamespot remove it because they didn't like people intelligently arguing their point of view? If so, that's disappointing.

[QUOTE="AdamPA1006"][QUOTE="Ace6301"] Why do you care if companies donate to groups that push for legal gay marriage. That doesn't hurt anyone. Opposing gay marriage hurts gays who want to get married. He is allowed to express his religious views. I see almost no one saying he can't. Being allowed to express your views and being protected from the criticism they draw are different things. l4dak47What was happening was that mayor I think it was, said to stay out of Boston. Thats fascism the government cant say which businesses go where just based on their religious beliefs. I know no one is protected from criticism but I feel Catholics get a lot of it unfairly. Not even close. The mayor, much like the owner of chik fil a, was expressing his opinion. The company can still open in Boston. Also, Catholics don't come close to getting enough criticism. They deserve all of it for being bigoted idiots that constantly suppress rights based on an old and outdated book.
Government officials shouldnt be opressing people like that. Say some southern mayor said to a pro gay company to stay away? According to you thats perfectly cool?

They can say it all they want, I don't give a fvck. However, the moment they actually do something to try and prevent that from happening, then I'd be angry. The mayor of Boston has not done anything and can't do anything to stop chick fil a from setting up there.[QUOTE="l4dak47"][QUOTE="AdamPA1006"] What was happening was that mayor I think it was, said to stay out of Boston. One day maybe Ill post out my secular argument against it, I would be looking forward to discussing it with you. I know that using religion for any argument it pretty bad

Homosexuality is something that no-one is required to accept... if it doesn't feel / seem right to you, then you don't have to embrace it in any way... somehow, we have this culture that foists every goddam thing on everyone and anyone who exercises any semblance of personal choice is automatically branded 'bigot' or 'racist' or 'homophobe' or whatever... well guess what -- non-homosexuals do not have to embrace, or be 'ok' with homosexuals or their lifestyle -- they don't have a right to bash or abuse, or use hate-speech against such individuals, but nor are they required by some godforsaken decree to accept it...67gt500
I don't think people who think it's a choice are bigots, they're just idiots.
People who try to pass laws that limit the rights of gays or prevent them from getting equal rights are bigots.
In liberal areas, yes.

.. :| What is this? You do know that Christians make up the majority of both sides within politics in the US right?

And what about people who reads two words out of a whole sentence and put them together how they see fit like you just did?
He said it seems like there's no freedom of choice in this, you either support gay rights or your voice gets choked by people spamming "homophobe!" "bigot!", not that being homosexual is a choice
