Because they thought he looked like a Muslim. Those people there were so out of line and ignorant it really angers me as a Muslim.

That's all sorts of pathetic. Judging by some of the comments heard during that video I can honestly say this is just giving me a more negative view of the people wanting to stop the mosque than anything.

So..when did an Under Amor skullcap become the official headwear of Muslims? I always thought UA was an athletic brand. Show how much I know..

Wow... I'm really starting to think most American's don't even understand why America was even formed anymore. But then again, there are a lot of ignorant people all around the world, from all walks of life... so this isn't a surprise.

Do most of those people in the crowd even know why they're there, or are they just there because its something to hate and is threatening the sanctity of God's America?

Spot on! Muslims citizens are just as much a citizen as anybody else. Why should they be persecuted like that? It wasn't okay in the past and it's not okay today.

Honestly as each day goes on with this "Ground Zero Mosque" debate I am becoming more and more apathetic to the issue.

Its an unruly mob what do you expect? Mob mentality tends to take over in these kinds of situations. There is a reason why police had the two seperated. Had someone walked over to the other side of the protest a similar situation would have gone down.

You cannot use distraction in this situation to take the light off of that hate-filled crowd that has been drummed up by it's leaders. Those on the left do notact in such a hysterical fashion on a near daily basis.

Judging from the video only a couple of people were giving him a hard time. Its sensative issue and a lot of the people there are acting purely on emotions. As I said before, they were seperated by the police to prevent this exact kind of thing from happening.

Why do you bring that statistic up? You think it backs your opinion? Do you realize that it doesn't matter if 70% were for it OR against it? It is PRIVATE property. Whether the Cordoba House should be built or not is not a matter of opinion. It is up to the owners of the property. This campaign of hatred is built on the same line of thought that Legislators in South Carolina along with Calhounhad back during the Nullification Crisis, the "laws apply only as we see fit".

The constitution applies to all Americans, 70% be damned.

How many of you noticed the mosque supporters holding up posters stating SHARIA? It is known that Muslims (though extremists just want to kill us) are wanting people to convert Islam and to follow Sharia law and people wonder why no one wants a mosque near Ground Zero.

I think his point was that a black man was mis-identified as a muslim. If it was a white person with the same clothing and accessories on, that crowd wouldn't have batted an eyelash. He wasn't talking about how much he cared about the person's race, but how crazy the crowd was reacting to that black man's race.

The only people I've seen with the word "Sharia" are the Mosque's opponents who have no idea what Sharia is claiming that the mosque will usher in Sharia Law all over the United States. . .
