What are some unpopular opinions you have about music?

"I do not like the beatles" translates to "They aren't suited to my musical taste."

I read ninja-hippo's post (the last paragraph) as "How DARE people have different musical tastes from me!". ROFL.

i'm a big hip hop and rap fan but the crap my roommates listen to is horrible and honestly it doesn't even take talent to make it in the rap industry anymore, everybodies trying to make the hottest club beat their not trying to make music. Oh well, you usually can find me in the hip hop underground because the industry has gone to hell.

Hip Hop (real hip hop that is, not your commercial BS you hear on the radio or see on MTV) is better than any over-grlorified band or musician from the 20th century.

On that note, I don't care for the Beatles.

Heavy metal spawns and showcases some of the most talented and unrecognized musicians to ever live. It's just a shame that the genre also houses some of the worst music ever created as well.

Tupac and Biggie aren't the greatest rappers ever. They're only so highly regarded today because they died young, before they had the time to sell-out like all big-name artists do.

It's that kind of snobbish attitude towards the topic that makes my indifference to the Beatles stronger.

I swear that people only like the Beatles because it establishes some imaginary superiority to others.

The hybridization of extreme metal and symphonic arrangements is quite possibly the most musically beautiful thing ever. A prefect contrast between the harsh power of distorted instruments and strained vocals combined with the sharp cleanliness of unmodified instruments and piercing intensity of clean vocals. Granted, both genres apart have their place and their own beauty, but when they come together, they just get my motor running like nothing else.Zeviander
