@servomaster: lmao the Asian students in my electrical engineering program are some of the dumbest students we have. Maybe the smart ones study computer science.

Well, they're fighting against stereotypes either way!
You see, if mom and dad can pay for your college, then more than likely you grew up somewhere with a decent education system. The classes are the same, but from birth, that person had an advantage over someone born in a poor area to parents who can't pay for college. Their education system was far superior from the beginning. And it results in a better education from the beginning.
The education system is part to blame, but more often in poor areas the parents just don't give a crap. The teachers are fine in the poor areas, they work awfully hard. Repeatedly you have drunk parents, or parents who aren't there, parents who only know how to discipline through beating...you get the point. I used to believe in that crap that poorer schools were keeping the kids down, then I got involved in several and I've seen plenty first hand to know the real issue is the parents.
The best part is that all this BLM junk is filtering down into the really young kids (6-10 years old). They have teachers working their ass off overtime to help these kids out (extra tutoring sessions (free)) and the kids reply "oh you're white, **** you. You just hate us because we're black", because a black student was disciplined for punching another student...unbelievable how often you hear that garbage coming from kids. The parents are practically sabotaging their child's education from the start.
Talk about self-fulfilling prophecies at work.
